Ah, btw folks, I am not always sooo chatty as I have been in the last couple of days. I'm super-excited of course, but I'm also at home with a really bad cold. This is part of my entertainment when I'm not napping.

So sorry, Holly! That doesn't sound fun at all.

I thought earlier about how excited I am and how sad I would be if it doesn't come to fruition. I currently homeschool the girls (and plan to continue it as long as possible). Our oldest will be in 2nd grade and youngest in kindergarten that year, and we would totally mold some of our curriculum around it.

We start back on Monday from the holidays, so we have one more day of break after today!

Question. How many of you use - or plan to use a TA?

I've never used one for several reasons. I do like to have control over my reservation, and a friend I usually sail with used to be a Disney Specialist anyway so she knew the ins and outs.

But for this trip I wonder if it'd be worthwhile. My only negative thought is - would I be on the bottom of the list of clients? Say I wanted a particular cabin - would I do better trying by myself?

And depending on when they release things, I may or may not have a dummy booking to move. (sailing on 2/2/12) Don't know if that slows things down or not. Opinions and thoughts?

I am using my friend Monica who is Mishoe01 here on the DIS boards to help me with the Hawaii cruise. I have also asked her to look for staterooms on the proposed WBTA!! She is just fabulous!!

Can someone who went on the 2011 WBTA please post a brief itinerary. Embarkation day, sea days and port days? I am trying to see how the known dates of Madeira and Gibraltar fit with arriving back in the states and the known schedules for the Dream and Fantasy at Castaway Cay and Port Canaveral.

Our first cruise the WBTA 2011 we booked direct by DCL. We "forgot" to book the next one on board, so we missed the discount and on board credit.
But there was Lynne(AuntLynne). She is an agent on MouseWorldTravel and she offered us on board credit and now we booked with her the Hawai in oct 2012. And I am pleased with it. I am sure she did the best job for us.
But next booking will be this one and we will book by DCL or Lynne and rebook that on board of the Wonder. If that is possible. I have to ask yet how we can do that.

Thanks, this is just what I needed. My only thoughts are that Saturday in Port Canaveral is the Fantasy's spot starting in April of this year, and the Fantasy does have a scheduled cruise on Saturday 10/26/13. Also, Friday is the Fantasy's day at Castaway Cay. So either the schedule will include, or not include, something else, or they will have to use a different terminal for the Magic. Really the only way I could see a similar schedule to 2011 work is if they eliminate one of the Caribbean ports, which would make it 13 nights with Castaway Cay on Thursday and disembarkation in Port Canaveral on Friday the 25th.

Holly, I booked our very first cruise myself thru DCL website. After that I have always used a TA to book for me, that is if I didn't rebook on board. We use DU and they have always done a GREAT job for us. They keep a watch on my reservation and if Disney, towards the time it is about to sail, offer FL residents rates DU has gotten us the lower rates as well. I don't know if the TA's get any prior notice of Disney's plans before they are made public or not. Maybe someone else out there might know the answer to that question.
