Ok....an explanation of The Champagne Girls

This was dreamt up by by a dear friend, Deb, EllaEnchantedon here, and I, before the first Panama canal crossing, way back.... We were chatting on here one day and the upshot was we decided it would be great fun to get together Ll the girls, drink champagne, wearing tiaras and pink boas...... And generally have fun.

So, all being well, I'll be happy to take this on if we do go ahead, all ably abetted by my glamorous assistant, Miss Custard Tart.

I'm hoping to persuade Deb to come aboard too...

How did you get there....taxi or by foot? (and how far away from the port is it?) We did an organized tour but are looking for something different this time.

Pussers is only a short walk from the dock, Maybe 10-12 minutes. Absolutely a "can't miss" in Tortola. The beach at Cane Garden Bay is also really nice. But that requires a taxi or a tour.

We have only ever done inside cabins. We don't mind them, it would be nice having a balcony to sit on, but we just use upstairs deck 9/10 instead. The darkness is great and helps us to sleep.

My philosophy is that I can get 2 cruises for the price of 1 without a balcony

Thank you thats a great philosophy and great help

Thank you honey, I know your thoughts on inside, its good to see so many others agree with you as well. Thanks for the info on the dinner as well, do you prefer early or late??

When you book, you get the choice of dining times but the earlier one is most popular (don't know why... I don't like eating that early!). If the early one is full, ask to be waitlisted. If not, join us in the late one!

I am almost stupidly excited about this - come on Disney! Announce it already so I can find some flights!!!
Thank you very much, great info, I quite like the idea of late dining

We walked, it's 10-15 mins at most. I must admit though it was so hot on the day we were there that we had to stop half way in the Columbian Emeralds shop to get some air con. Which turned into my DH buying me a Diamond & Ruby ring for our 10th Wedding Anniversary, we were belatedly celebrating onboard.

Definitely late!!!! If you do early then you are rushing back to your room early to get ready for dinner, whereas it was a nice time to be up on deck having a drink then getting ready & seeing the show before dinner.

We always book our cruise and flights separately, do you think you might get it cheaper separately than through Virgin... they must add a bit of a premium

I was wondering that too when I just read Sandy's post, I recall seeing the door magnets with Sandy & Tom on.

When it becomes official (and my intuition says it will), then I'll be happy to help with some of the events and stuff.

Then, when it's official, I can also ask some more of the technical questions. I know there is no way I'll book this without "cancel for any reason" insurance.
