BWV Standard View request....
We were lucky enough to secure a std view studio for our final 2 nights and I am curious as to if there are any requests I should make? We had a pool and garden view for our last visit, so I know the resort a little, but not enough to make an educated request. Thanks!!

Check the BLT views thread, you can see where each of the standard view rooms are. Depending on the view you like, you can request it. Many people like the even numbered rooms, many of which have partial views of the lake and the MK.

I think you're recommending rooms for BLT - not the BWV standard the the OP has booked.

Oops! You are right.. When it comes to BWV standard view rooms, there are not many and they are close together... I don't have a good suggestion on that.... Sorry for the confusion.

The "map" below shows the SV room locations. ![]() With the SV villas, you will be looking at the driveway, the pond or the parking lot...or about 30-40% of the time you will be looking right into a tree. Personally we like to request "away from the elevators" since it shortens our walk to DHS.

When staying standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. That puts you about half way down the hall, away from the entrance with a good fireworks view (assuming there is not a tree blocking).

We request an upper floor. Had a first floor room once, and I missed the balcony and also didn't like that fact that there was yard maintenance going on right outside our patio door on a few days.

Keep your expectations reasonable. BW seems to be not very good at meeting requests (other people have better luck than we have, there appears to be a note on my file that says 'this woman does not REALLY want what she asks for' - but I'm not alone.)
Generally speaking - higher up and farther from the elevators have the best views at Boardwalk for BOTH standard and Boardwalk View, but are the least convenient (and there is that tree issues with Standard View). More convenient rooms are closer to the elevator and on the first or second floor (the lobby at the BW is on the second floor - the Boardwalk is sort of an oddly shaped walkout). Rooms in between have a little bit of both. |

We seem to always get the request. The CM's on the phone usually tell us they don't hear "far" from the elevators very often. HBC

If you need the convenience of being close to the elevators, it is a great location....HOWEVER, it is noisy there from the luggage check in. We will always request far from the elevators.
