Fantasy Stateroom 6578

From the looks to me on the ship diagram, it looks like this room is near elevators. Is that a good thing or should I be concerned with noise/traffic?

We've booked 6574 and 6576 on the Fantasy. We deliberately chose to be near the elevators. We were in a similar location on the Magic and found we really loved the location. It was great leaving the cabin and not having to walk all the way down the corridor to get to the stairs/elevator. We had no issues at all with noise from the elevators or passenger traffic.

We have had rooms right off of the midship elevator bank, and allllllll the way forward and totally away from traffic and didn't really notice a difference either way. Enjoy the convenience!!!

We had rooms fairly close to the elevators on the Wonder and the Magic (mid ship) and never heard any traffic or elevator noise.

We are booked in that same exact room on the Fantasy for our upcoming cruise!

We are cruising in September, so if you are before us, please let me know how it is!

Thank you for the response. My travel agent is awesome and trust her judgement, but just wanted to ask the "experts" on this board. I will enjoy the convenience!!! I am cruising December 22, 2013 on the Fantasy. You'll have to let me know how the room was!

I have never had a problem being close to an elevator. things were never too load morning or night. I guess it could get busy when the shows are going in and coming out; when people traffic is more active as well as dinner times. Overall, I never had a complaint to make about being close to an elevator.

Have a FANTASY of a cruise!

Will do! Like I said, we were fairly close to the elevators on our last 2 cruises and loved the convenience of being right there (although we used the stairs). This is closer than we were, but I also like being mid-ship, so hoping I am not disappointed!

Sharon - I won't be able to help you anymore! After reading the reports about Deck 6 on the Dream and seeing some photos, I decided to move to Deck 7. The lifeboats are right below the Deck 6 verandahs, so I wanted a little space between us and them for a little better view.

But you will have to report back and let us know if the elevator noise bothered you!
