So what did you have there that you enjoyed so much?

Wear comfortable shoes and take your first day to walk up and down the strip on both sides. Don't worry that much about where you stop to eat, just pick something you like and enjoy it to rest your feet. Go into all of the large hotels and enjoy the very unusual over-the-top architecture. Be sure to enter the Venetian and see the shops which look like the old world and are built to look like you are outdoors, complete with ceilings painted like the sky. Also visit the shopping center in front of Planet Hollywood, which has a similar look of being outdoors, but you are not. This one even has a rain and thunder storm. Stop in front of Bellagio and see their famous water fountain show set to music and in particular the duet by Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman - It's Time to Say Goodbye. White at Bellagio go in and see the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, and of course the casino. At Caesar's Palace see the pool. We saw one big show (Cher) and a Cirque show (O). Pricey but hey, it's Vegas. You might want to do just one show and splurge more on restaurants. Depending on how much exploring you do you can easily spend two or three days just walking around and having fun. Bring a camera!

We had a couple of different fish dishes (salmon & redish) plus one time we had a steak. We also had a shrimp appetizer The service was top notch without being stuffy
The food was very good and we wish he had put a restaurant in DTD rather than Universal. (we usually don't rent a car when in WDW)
Of course their menu changes regularly so what we had may no longer be there. If you go to Emeril's website it should have a more current sample menu. I believe it is open for lunch so that is usually a little cheaper.

We ate one night at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Caesar's Palcae. Very good, but not sure it was worth the price. "Small portions" is what my husband noted and he did not rave over the food, although everything served was attractive and tasty. If we do it again, I think I would visit some of the smaller hotel restaurants and I think that you might wind up with some excellent meals at better values.

Thanks for this... I find that this is true in a lot of higher ends restaurants that we go to...

Yes, I think I would wing it more on restaurants. We stopped at Mon Ami Gabi restaurant at Paris Resort, had a more informal meal, ate outside and had a great time, you can people watch and enjoy the sights. The bill was also reasonable.

I hope to get my DH out to the Dam, he has never seen it or the grand Canyon before.

We did both of those trips and I highly recommend them. Do the "Deluxe" tour of the dam for your DH's sake. It takes you inside so you can see how everything works. There is a forum on these somewhere on this site with some good suggestions.

Last year my DH and I did a trip from Vegas to the Hoover Dam with Pink Jeep Tours, we had a great time and highly recommend it, here is a link with more info..

http://pinkjeeptours.com/las-vegas/t...r-dam-upgrade/

We also saw Jersey Boys, we very highly recommend this show. It has moved to the Paris Casino and the prices are higher than last year, but we loved it so much we might just see it again this year in May.

More info.....http://www.jerseyboysinfo.com/
