Friday: Grilled Cheese and soup. It is freezing here and DH is sick so something quick and easy.
Saturday: Pizza at inlaws to celebrate Christmas with them. Sunday: Steak, Potatoes, Salad Monday: Tacos, beans, chips and cheese dip (DD's B-day so she got to pick) Tuesday: Prime Rib, twice baked potatoes, deviled eggs, Rolls, green beans Wednesday: leftovers Thursday: Pork Chops Friday: Chicken/Rice/Brocolli Wishing everyone a Safe and Happy Holidays!

Merry X Mas to all my Diser friends! I had finals all last week and passed the class I was so worried about
 I also have had the flu for the last week! Boo! But, I am feeling better just in time for tomorrow! Last night I kept it simple with rice, boneless skinless chicken breast, and cream of chicken soup all mixed together. I will probably do something fast tonight. Merry Christmas Eve DISers!!
Last night was meatballs subs Tonight we're having burgers Tomorrow is Turkey with all the fixin's Wed we're having a Luau with friends so it's ham, polynesian rice, fruit, buns, cupcakes, broccoli and a mandarin salad. Thursday is leftover central!! Friday will be homemade turkey pot pie Saturday leftovers Wishing all happy and safe holidays!

Merry Christmas everybody!
Tonight is tamales courtesy of DBFs mom and cake at my house after, lol. Tomorrow will be a gut-busting day! Turkey at DBFs house, then eating again at my house later, which will have both turkey AND ham. Ohh my! Wednesday will likely be a pizza night, as we both work all day and to get away from leftovers lol. Rest of the week TBD.

I hope everyone had a good holiday. Mine was nice we got to take my grandma to my aunt's both days to celebrate with the family.
Tonight we had chicken and dumplings. It was snowing and comfort food sounded so good.

The last of our house guests left this morning. This is how I feel...
  We will get to rest tonight, but then DH's brother and his little girl arrive at the in-law's house tonight. So, just a short respte before we end up spending the weekend with them. I am going to go ahead and post next week's menu since I probably won't make it back over to the Dis until Wednesday or Thursday of next week. Funds are way low after the holidays, so next week we will be eating from what is already in the freezer and pantry. Since our schedule will be dictated by our coming and going from in-law's house, I will not even try to figure out what nights we will eat what. Here is just a list of meals I have ready to prepare for WHENEVER...
~ Taco Soup and Cheese Quesadillas ~ Leftover Casserole (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/leftove...7=Home%20Page#) made with Turkey and a Salad ~ Deer Steak and Gravy, Mashed Potatotes and Sauteed Squash ~ White Beans and Ham with Cornbread ~ Spaghetti, Garlic Toast and Steamed Broccoli ~ Biscuits and Sausage Gravy with Scrambled Eggs ~ I am leaving the seventh meal open since I am sure we will have dinner at the in-law's house at least once Hope all of you have a happy new year!!!! |

Turkey dinner on Christmas Day, and... A luau last night with friends so it was ham, polynesian rice, broccoli, salad, buns and assorted desserts Tonight: LEFTOVER CITY!!  Tomorrow: Turkey pot pie Saturday: Finish up leftovers

Tonight we went simple with grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Tomorrow night is balsamic roast beef in the crock pot with noodles and salad.

Well now that the holidays are winding down I suppose I should make a menu. We could continue to graze on whatever is close enough to throw in our mouths but I'd like to not have to purchase everyone in the house a new wardrobe to fit into so it's time to knock that off
 Tonight.. Ham, Broccoli, Garden Salad, Baked or Mashed Potato Saturday.. Dinner at my sisters (I think it's Prime Rib.. postponed family get together) Sunday.. Casual get together lunch here of soup and sandwiches. Just the kids and I that night so we'll do leftovers Monday.. Spaghetti Pie Tuesday.. Considering making a turkey for New Years Day, butternut squash soup, stuffing, mashed potatoes broccoli Wednesday.. Leftovers from turkey dinner Thursday.. Hamburgers, Fries and Salad Friday.. Some kind of homemade soup. I'll have leftover turkey and ham so I need to make something

Hey all. Sorry I have been quiet for so long! Mom ended up in the hospital again over Christmas from dehydration, low blood pressure, and low platelet and white cell counts. She got out yesterday and is feeling pretty well. My family is coming into town today through Tuesday so I have a lot going on at the moment!
Here is the menu I have for today through Tuesday night. I will then go back to the grocery Wednesday morning (for meals Wednesday through Sunday) and then back to normal (at least until classes start). Tonight: Depends on when family gets into town Saturday: Tacos and Mexican Rice Sunday: Baked Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti, and Garlic Bread Monday: French Onion Soup and Snacks Tuesday: Filet Mignon, Lobster Tail, Baked Potato, and Creamed Spinach

Tonight we might be having some chicken turn overs with puff pastry, some Dijon mustard, and peas. We've got some pierogies I might make with that. I am kinda in a funk and really don't want to make anything. But I know without me the family will starve
