Fulton's Crab House at DTD ~ yes or no?

My DH, DS and I are going in July. I have always wanted to eat at Fulton's Crab House but we have never worked it into our plans. Our DS is celebrating his 21st birthday and I thought this would be a good choice for a nice dinner for his birthday. If you have ever eaten there ~ please give me a review! Thanks!

I have reservations for August and I am wondering the same thing. It looks so beautiful all lit up at night but I do not see many people saying they really enjoyed it. I am on the DDP and it is a 2 credit choice. I am so on the fence with this choice

We have eaten there numerous times and have always had a fabulous experience. It is pricey, but the seafood is amazing. Enjoy!!!

We ate here last October. Although I did think that food was good and atmoshpere is amazing, I wasn't impressed enough to want to go back. I think that for the price, I expected more. It seemed like we were much more of an inconvience for our waiter than anything, we didn't get much attention. And, the food was good, but I have had better seafood (and treatment) at Joe's Crab Shack for half the price.

Maybe it was just us, but it's not one that I would tell people to go out of their way for.

Our Ratings of Fulton's: (rev 2/5/2012)
. . . food price value: C
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: B
. . . food prep speed: D
. . . food selection: B
. . . seating quantity: B
. . . seating comfort: C
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: C
. . . staff friendliness: C
. . . staff attentiveness: D
. . . character interaction: n/a

NOTE: Fulton's, as several other DTD eateries, like Portobello
and Wolfgang Puck, is part of the Levy chain. Most seafood is quite
good, but many think overpriced. The crab claws are good, but pass
on the lobster or crab legs, as there is major disappointment lurking.
One would expect far better service considering the price. However,
the "riverboat" is a nice environment, but the staff does not keep the
place clean enough for our taste.Be prepared to give CPR to your
wallet when the bill comes, and try not to gasp too loudly.

Just went 2 weeks ago- food mediocre-seemed a bit dirty- not worth 2 TS. Server was very good. We will not be back.

We have ate there a couple of times last May. The food was good and the service was good also. I would go there again.

just ate there in may and had a great meal. service was excellent. we have adr's again for september. most reviews for disney restaurants are usually mixed so i think people should always try a restaurant once and decide for themselves.

We ate there Tuesday night. That was probably our 7th or 8th meal there. I had the king crab legs. They were excellent. My husband, who travels for business and has dined at many lovely places, had the cioppino. He ate every bite and said it was the best he'd ever had. He also had the lobster bisque which he enjoyed. Service was good. We'll continue to eat at Fulton's.

We only do lunch

at Fulton's but have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Lunch is a lot more affordable than dinner. I love the crab spread appetizer and the fried seafood platter was delicious!

We eat there every trip. We've always have excellent food and service. It is moderately expensive. As a pp said you'll get opinions on Disney eateries that range from great to awful. Make your own opinion.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks to everyone for the opinions and information! I bit the bullet and made an ADR for Fulton's. It is going to be for our son's 21st birthday celebration and we wanted to eat somewhere that we had never been before and I think the beautiful boat helped in the decision making! I have Mickey Money (as I call it) from the Disney VISA card to use for the meal so it will not come out of my pocket book so to speak! I will let everyone know how we like it. Let's pray it is a good experience!
