Booked SW Weekend but have question

Hey guys, I just booked the Caribbean Beach for Star Wars weekend in June. Do hotels typically sell out for these weekends? We paid $154 a night thru Expedia and I'm wondering if that will be the best deal and if I just jumped the gun too early.

Thanks!

Tim

I don't think Disney hotels sell out for Star Wars Weekends. That is a very fair price for Caribbean Beach. Keep a watch for any promo codes that Disney might release for your dates.

Disney just released a spring promo for stays April 13, 2012 - June 14, 2012, with a booking deadline of February 28, 2012. Go to the Disney website and click on special offers and you can price a room under that promo to see if it's a better deal than what you currently have. But with that said, you may have penalties through Expedia since you're already booked with them. I've never booked a Disney trip through a third party so I'm not certain, but check the fine print on your confirmation as you may not be able to cancel without some sort of penalty. Good luck .

I think you can get a better rate based on the Spring promo rate that Disney is running - 25% of the room rate right now. We too are going to be at the CBR during the first weekend in June for SWW.

I just ran through a scenario on the Dis website. I did June 1-3 at all star music. It came out to $363. How is that a savings? Is it possible the website is messed up or something?

When I checked just now, the rate for CBR for Fri and Sat night was $153 and for M, T, and W was $142 using the spring promo.

We've been at the CBR for quite a few of the SWW dates and it never seemed super crowded. That's one of the good things about the size of the CBR, because it's large, the guests are spread out and you won't feel crowded at all. I'd also suggest that you book under the new Spring Code that just came out on the Disney site. We were able to save almost $500 for our May 23rd to June 2, 2012 stay.

I showed it at $135 a night so for 2 nights (June 1 and June 2) - $306.

It shows $153 a night for CBR for those same dates.
