I'm kinda wanting to go back to CSR. We stayed at POP in June and it was great, but we enjoyed our visit to CSR to eat at the lunch buffet.

That's right, if you get dinner & tell them it's to go when you enter the Pepper Market, they will give you a To Go ticket so the cashier doesn't charge you the 10% tip. According to people who have eaten at the breakfast & lunch buffet, you cannot get a To Go ticket for those though.

Re: bottled water

I'm pretty sure we were able to get bottled water as our beverage and use our refillable mugs at Pepper Market. That was a year ago, so it could have changed, but I'm pretty sure we were given the option.

We're here right now; we head home tomorrow morning. We requested Casitas but were given Cabanas right near bus stop 4. Great location-near laundry, quiet pool, beach, and bus stop The buses have been hit or miss; half the time the bus is standing room only when it gets to us, and of course this is always after we had to wait 35 minutes for one to show up. They DO skip bus stop one if the bus is full. We waited forever at bus stops a few times to come back to the resort; we would see 2 and 3 buses show up at other stops before one would come to ours...several times the crowds cheered when one would finally show up And don't make the mistake I did and go to downtown disney in the morning; it took us 2 hours to get to a park, with only about 5 minutes of that actually in the resort room

Housekeeping was great our first few days-clean, stuffed animals arranged all cute and a giant mickey head with bow made out of towels, then I suspect our housekeeper changed...they skipped our 2 rooms fully one day (and I mean completely!) and the next the bare minimum was done...girls' blankies just wadded up on the bed, no liner in the trash bag, recycle bag taken but not replaced, etc.

We were disappointed that the slide and the poolside bar close so early. And we learned the hard way that pepper market won't charge the tip to your room key; cash only. Our server was SO thrilled when DH came back with a tip for her; I suspect they get stiffed a lot.

If I request Ranchos 9A or 9B, what bus stop is this near, and is that bus stop always going to be jammed?

I really DO want to live there!
I circulate my paper clips at work so they all get used or I feel like they'd be sad if they didn't get a "turn".

We were in 9A (beautiful, by the way) and it was just across the parking lot from Bus Stop 4. Not a big deal at all. We were there during Spring Break (very crowded) and we didn't have much waiting at all!

Really?! What picture showed this? Can someone please clairfy this? We will be going with our 9 yr old soon too, an I don't want to pay adult buffet price for her either!

The allears website also states that both Pepper Market AND Maya Grill kid's menus are for UNDER 9.

The slide closes when the lifeguards go off duty. According to this sign, that's at 9:00.

So how would this work with the dining plan, I wonder?

I know DS11 can order from the adult menu, but would DD9 be able to order off of the adult menu? She only has child credits.

That's why I was hoping someone who's been there recently can give us the scoop. Very confusing! If all else, DD will be 8 when we eat at Pepper Market. Yes, I can admit that!

Although I haven't eaten at PM since it became a buffet, the last time we did eat there, the CMs were very flexible regarding "child" credits vs. "adult" credits. My oldest was just under 9, so still a child on the Disney DDP, but didn't really want a kid's meal. Our server heard him saying he didn't want a kid's meal and she said, "let him get whatever he wants. There's no difference in the credits." We asked if she was sure and she said yes, they do it all the time. So we let him get an adult meal and when my husband went to check out, the cashier didn't say a word about using 2 A and 2 C, even though we had 3 adult meals and only 1 child. This was for dinner, using the Disney DDP.

Things can always change, of course, but I do know the CS credits on the dining plans are not broken down by adult/child - they're pooled, so they're not keeping track of how many of each you order. The only time you may have an issue is when you're ordering at a CS and the CM sees that you have 2A2C and only allows you to order 2 adult meals and 2 kids' meals. And apparently, the CMs at PM don't care.

OK, no one else will understand this, but I know you guys will!

We're trying to plan a quick weekend trip two weeks from now, to go to MNSSHP. I called a couple of weeks ago to check availability at several resorts and I could get Pop or CSR, my top Value choice and top Mod choice. The price difference is $150 for 3 nights, so $50/night. The loudest part of me says, "Save the money! It's just 3 nights!" but the other part of me says, "Oh, but the queen beds at CSR are sooo much more comfy than the doubles at Pop." I'm kind of pushing my luck to get a trip at all, so I should just suck it up and go cheap, right?

Heck, it's only three nights, so you want to be comfy, so stay at CSR. And just so you know....we'll be in Disney two weeks from tomorrow.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I had read elsewhere that the CS credits weren't necessarily broken down into AC/CC. This helps to know you had this experience. Im not too concerned with the PM lunch now that it's a buffet. I am curios to see how this will work at the Maya Grill. It doesn't really make a big difference to me being on the DDP, but if I were paying OOP I would be annoyed. I just wonder why the difference in age from all the other onside dining facilities.
