Lynn likes early dining just to have the evening free to relax after long days. She considers it her "unwind" time. Stroll the deck, take a dip, etc. without a lot of people. Yes, even take in a stage show or movie (especially on the outdoor big screen where it is really quiet), or shop, or get pics taken with characters. It's all considered relaxing, unwind time. Here is the real important thing, at least for me. I like eating early so that by the time we are done with any of the previous activities I am ready for more food. I always look forward to the snack food; pizza, burger, hotdog, fries, chicken tenders, or ice cream, as my nightly snack before retiring. Lynn says that just because it's free does not mean I have to eat it. I remind her that there is nothing "free" on a cruise. Besides, there is always dieting after the VACATION.

I sure hate to see food having to be discarded because of a lack of attention being given it.
Catch that jumping banana, peel it and it eat!

Thanks for the nice greetings, everyone!

This is one nice group of groups, I can see. Ray and I are still in post-cruise haze after debarking the Eastern Sailing on 28 April. We loved that cruise so much, even though I couldn't do any of the port excursions.
I wonder if we'll like the Dream as much as the Fantasy?

If there's anyone looking for some pics, I started a TR from that sailing over on the Trip Reports forum.

We must have missed this on our last sailing.

Honestly, I can sniff out food anywhere! But I wasn't aware that there was any buffet at all for PN on our sailing. And I booked the early dinner seating for the same reason--didn't want to be stuffed before the PN doings. Where would it have been? Cabanas? If I missed it, I'm really glad I'm going back now.

According to the Navigators I've seen the buffet was in Cabanas from 10:30 -11:15 PM

Hi Laura--Thanks for sharing the link to your trip report. I'm really enjoying reading about your experiences. We were on the Dream during spring break this year (April 10-15) and there are a couple of very detailed TR's from our cruise (right down to the menus)! John is a retired naval aviator. He did an exchange tour with the AF (Cannon) and has remained close friends with a few friends from that tour. After retiring he went into teaching and is currently the computer resource specialist at a middle school. He also worked at Disneyland for 7 years during high school and college and remains loyal to all that is Disney He loves what he's doing and it keeps us cruising! I am a retired special education teacher.
