I am singing your tune DizJohn. I am not a big fb fan either, but what another sailing did was make it a "closed group". This made the conversation more private.

Either way I prefer these boards, but I would be more apt to post to Facebook if the group went private.

Good day everyone!
I was wondering~those of us that are driving and staying over night at a hotel near the port...will you be doing the park and ride or will you be driving yourself to port? What is the difference between the two? This will be the first time I am driving to Florida for the cruise and wanted to know what was my best bet. I haven't even looked (no idea) into the hotels by the port yet. I am kind of a hotel snob and would hate to pick one and hate it. I know it's only one night but it has to be **** and span I get grossed out easily lol. I really don't care about free breakfasts but if they have it that's a nice touch Soooooo, what's everyone doing??

Hi there! The two most popular hotels at the port are Radisson and Country Inn and Suites. I called both of them just this past Friday to check into the difference and here's what I found out. The Radisson charges $4.00 per person each way unless you get the Park & Cruise package. SO....if you have a rental car, the best way to do it if you have several people in your group is one person to drive everyone to the port and then go back to the hotel and park the car and take the shuttle back. The Country Inn and Suites does NOT charge for the shuttle...regardless of which room/package you get. I also found another place that is VERY cheap at Cocoa Beach. It's called Wakulla Suites. Does anyone know anything about that place? The reviews are pretty much half and half....one person loved it, the next person hated it.
