What is Tinkerbell?

This is something I haven't quite figured out. They call her a fairy, yet she lives in Pixie Hollow and sprinkles Pixie dust.

There's a difference between a Pixie and a Fairy. She looks more Pixie to me.

Thoughts?

Good question. Never thought about it. Maybe she's a hybrid? I know she's called a fairy in Peter Pan and they wouldn't lie in the original movie! That could be a good question to ask a CM next time. Bet they'd be pretty surprised to answer that!

She's a pixie. Hence why she can sprinkle pixie dust.

Compare her to the Blue Fairy for example (Pinocchio).

Thats what I thought! Plus she has more pixie like charcteristics like her wings. But she is referred to as a fairy.

Pixies ARE fairies.

All magical creatures are. Leprechauns, sprites, pixies, they're all types of fairies.
