Just posting this link to make sure everyone knows of the change. No more check in at MCO so you need to select your PAT and that is what will determine your boarding number, even if you use DCL transfers.

So does anything really change if you don't need to select a time? We are platinum

We found a one-way rental from Budget the best deal. (Try this BCD code: W096100 -its gives the best rate I've found, so far.) I also recommend getting a Fast Break card - you can skip the lines in the airport and head right out to the rental car garage and after a quick stop at the window to sign your paperwork, you'll be on your way.

Then on Saturday, just bring everyone and your luggage over to drop off the car at Budget in the morning (they are only a few blocks from the hotel) and they will shuttle you all right over to the port for free.

They are a great option for your return transportation, too.

Also, if you have enough time on your day before the cruise, it's nice to have a car to go out for dinner or hit the beach (I recommend going south of the hotel zone to I Dream of Jeannie Lane, to a small park there that has free parking, restroom and, a much less crowded beach than the hotel area.)

We have rented car to drive to the port several times. It is a good deal based on the number of people you have in your party. 4 was cheeper than DCL bus. Just look at the location of the rental company's location in Port Canaveral and find one near the port. Also pay attention to their close times and make sure you have time to get to the port. I liked to drop the family off along with the luggage at the terminal and that makes it a lot easier to get on their shuttle bus...one person, no luggage!

This time we are using a limo service as there are 6 of us and we would need a van to fit the people and luggage. The price of the van was too high. The limo is still cheaper that the DCL bus.

Good luck, we are staying at the Country Inn also. If you need the car to get to the inn, check that the rental agency will shuttle you there.

Signed, sealed, delivered, we're there!

Well, that was easy. Booked everything we wanted and it took less than 15 minutes. Only thing left to do is to count down the days! Awesome!

I am so sad! I had to cancel this cruise. We couldn't make up the money that was stolen from us in time to pay the remainder of our balance. So instead of cruising this week, we are going to Europe and Disneyland Paris. Hope y'all have a great cruise.

That is terrible. Hope you have a great trip to the Med! I have removed all of your information from the group lists.

St Thomas/St John excursion

If anyone out there is looking for a great excursion in St Thomas, there are 3 spaces left on our private daysail. We (me, DH, DD17) booked the High Pockets again because we had such a wonderful experience with Captain Kathleen in 2010. Itís a beautiful day on a sailboat with snorkeling and/or beach stops in St John, open bar included with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a really delicious lunch prepared on board by Kathleen. I love snorkeling, my DH is more of a beach person, and my daughter (14 at the time) wanted nothing to do with the water at all, and Kathleen made sure we all had a great time. If you are interested, you can find a much better description of the day at www.sailhighpockets.com and reviews from other cruisers on Cruise Critic and Trip Advisor. Itís a pricey excursion ($130 per person cash, $140 pp w/credit card, plus r/t transportation to Red Hook, which Kathleen arranges) but it was definitely worth it; one of the best and most relaxing excursions weíve ever done (and I finally got to see sea turtles!).

Kathleen only takes a maximum of 6 passengers and the price is the same per person whether she takes 3 or 6 - I just thought Iíd mention it here since Iíd rather share the boat with fellow Disíers than with complete strangers.

There are also lots of other private daysail operators if you interested and have more than 3 people; Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic have reviews and recommendations on most of them. Itís a really a wonderful way to spend the day in St Thomas.

Hi, I'm on this cruise, but no need to add me to the roster--I'm Castle4us 's DS16. I checked and you have us on already for our stateroom.

I'll double check with her, but I think we're in 8558; 8556 was our original, but we switched for a veranda without an obstruction on one side.

I will wait to hear from one of you to make the change.
