That sounds like a good plan. I will try that approach. I know our cruise is sold out so they may not allow my 10 year old in the edge. No big deal if they don't he will be fine either way but wanted him to have the option.

Formal night question

Another question from the newbie! How strict are they regarding the dress code for the formal night? My husband doesn't have a suit. Would he be ok in dress slacks, sport coat, and tie? My daughter is a tomboy, could she wear dress pants and a top? Or, should we just skip it? Is the food any different that night?

Apparently disney needs to send an email with a link to this board when you book your cruise ...lol

We will be traveling with our 4 kiddos .. Luke 5, Aubrie 4, Abbie 3 and Lexie 6 months. Yes that's a lot of kiddos, and yes I need all the blessings I can get I was hoping at the kiddo meet and greet that we could find some other kids same age they could play with on cruise

Thanks in advance for helping me understand all this new info...i'm so excited i cant sleep already and we still have 7 days before we head to florida! i am sure i will be on here everynight before we sail. Laryssa/QUOTE]

Hi Laryssa! We are traveling with our 3 boys (5,4, and turning 3 on the 25th)!! Let's get our kiddos together They would love to meet some new friends. We will be at the meet & greet!! See you there!!

They will be just fine! You will see everything from jeans to ball gowns and tuxedos. I know they have lobster that night. Unless you show up in something really crazy no one will pay attention to what you are wearing.

Note the room change from 8001 to 8053 for Rae! I'll try to remember to change the delivery map as well, but if you have one printed out already, just make note of the change.

The pool will be so jammed pack that there is hardly any room to move. It isn't very big at all. I'd skip the floats.

I don't know if anyone else has seen this yet. We watched it and it was a pretty good show. They are really bad about the stuff on TV being so old but this was a new show about the Disney cruise line. It will be on a few nights next week on this Destination America which I believe is 194 on Dish Network?:

Disney Cruise Line
The Travel Channel hosts an in-depth look at the innovation behind the Walt Disney Company's cruise line and what it takes to operate its ships and provide an unforgettable experience for travelers who vacation on them. This show has been updated as of May 2013 with NEW content of the two newer ships. (Thanks Carol) (TVKirby note - This show is available to watch at any time to Netflix streaming subscribers)
Wednesday May 22, 2013 from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Channel - Destination America

Just an FYI-Children need to be potty trained to use the pools and the Aqua Lab. The Fantasy has a wonderful!! splash area called Nemo's Reef that is open for all children.

Here is the link from the Disney website.
Pool Rules

Aqua Lab

One more hint. The day you board be sure to pack a carry on bag with your kids swimsuits (or have them wear them) and sunscreen. You won't be able to get to your cabin until 1:30ish and sometimes your bags don't get delivered to your cabin until after 5 PM.

Is he at Aviano? My daughter was just there in December to visit our friends stationed there. We are also Air Force - or I should say "we were" because my husband just ended his career a month ago! He's now Air National Guard.

Attention: Team Huey

Thanks to Tresha (Outrageous Crew) for catching an error. I missed getting Madeline's name on the spreadsheet for room 8108 (Madeline Landis). Hope she doesn't miss out on any gifts because I screwed up.

(where's the emoticon for 40 lashes with a wet noodle?)

Everyone has gotten quiet! Is everyone furiously packing and cleaning??? I'm mostly packed, but ridiculously anal about cleaning my house before vacation (and no one will be here haha). I just like coming home to a clean house so we can trash it with laundry and souvenirs!

- Thank you all for your hard work and time spent organizing this group. In addition to all of your help with the cute bracelets, the two mixology and the "Meet And Greet".
Thank you for everything!
