I just read that Be Our Guest reservations can be made from August 20th with the first bookings for Nov 19th!

I will be gone by then, but maybe there will be some pixie dust and the CS section will be open by the 17th which is our last MK day

Normally it's the same amount again as what you have already paid. Using this website you don't have to pay anymore as they have paid extra and cover you. Have a read but it might help someone else.
Have you used Economy car rentals in Orlando? I'm wondering if you pick the car up onsite or have to use a shuttle?

Lurking in - really should be picking up December travel tips! - I couldn't believe my luck when this came on TV when were were in NY last year, just after our Disney portion of the trip! We were at the Doubletree Times Square, I was so excited telling the girls that "this bit of the movie is just DOWN THERE!"

Our girls don't know we are going yet, when we were watching Olivia said "if we ever go to NY maybe I could go down the manhole" It would have been amazing to watch it while you were actually there!!

To keep the movie theme going on Saturday night we all watched "night at the museum" - and next Saturday we are going to watch the second one. It's so exciting to sit watching a place I'll be walking around in less than three months!

Nothing's booked yet (and this time we are doing it ourselves so could be a steep learning curve ) but the plan is at the beginning of December - miss the last week or so of school (bad us, but worth it for a quieter Disney!), head to CA, do a day or two at DL, then across to DW which is where we'll spend most our time, then NY, and somewhere else... haven't picked that yet. Seems so silly to practically repeat the same trip, doesn't it? But I can't help it, it was so good last time! We have some friends who are planning to come with us too this time. DL could be either side of the trip too dependant on when the best crowd dates are, I will have to get into full on research mode soon!

I figure about December this year is when I should really start watching flight prices etc in case anything really good comes up.

Waited until the online booking opened, phone lines were crazy. Booking done for Be Our Guest (BOG sounds like you are having a dump) on January 10th. Seems like it will be a sell out!
