Does Tinkerbell still fly down from the castle before Wishes?

we didn't see her while we were there, but it could have been due to lightening in the area.

She did not fly on Saturday Oct 1. We were right under her wire. But then again it was a little breezy that night so that could have had something to do with it.

i'm sure its because of certain weather conditions. with her being up so high it might not be safe.

Also its not before wishes but about 5 or so minutes into the show.

It been posted that she will not fly it there are:
  • weather issues - high winds, lightning, etc.
  • equipment issues - not enough pixie dust
  • staffing issues
  • or if the performer does not feel its safe

There have been a few times the (s)he didn't fly down. Sometimes it is due to the weather, sometimes it isn't. And yes, there was no Tink on Saturday night.. I didn't think the breeze was that bad that night. I have seen it worse and Tink has flown.. I asked a CM and he said that Tink may have just been somewhere else... he didn't say it was due to the breeze. Usually if it is the weather, they tell you. I was surprised to not see her fly Saturday... especially since it was the 40th birthday... but then again.. I don't think she flew way back then.. so that may have been why too... just a thought at least I never remember her flying way back then....

Yeah she didn't fly on Thursday the 29th either. We were there standing right by where she would leave the castle and she didn't go but I didn't really expect her to. There was some serious lightening going off in the distance

On a particularly rainy night this spring, there was a family (mom, dad, two little girls) that came into the Emporium after Wishes and asked why Tinkerbell didn't fly that night.. I asked them if they had seen the new Tinkerbell movies and they said yes. I said, "So you know that Tinkerbell is very tiny, right? (Yes..) Tinkerbell is so tiny that to her, the raindrops are huge! If a raindrop were to hit her or, more importantly, her wings, that could really hurt her and make flying unsafe. So that's why she doesn't fly when it's rainy."

I love telling stories to families :]

She flew last Wednesday, but was kinda hauling butt down the line. There was a lightning storm that just missed the parks to the east, and that may have had an effect on it. It ended up not raining at all, but the lightning was very vivid, so it's not like it was unknown before the show started.
