I'm trying to find a jeep tour that will get us out into canyons, deserts or forests which isn't too far from Anaheim. So far all I've found is some out of Palm Springs.
Not being local I thought I'd ask you guys if there are any jeep tour companies that I could try that are a bit closer to Anaheim...maybe San Bernadino forest way (I know we'll have to drive out a bit, but Palm Springs is 2+ hours right? And if we wanted to do a morning tour we'd ahve to set out in rush hour. Not sure about San Bernadino, but I get the impression it's closer when I lose myself in Google Maps!). Also, my teens would love to try horse riding (ok, DD for some reason wants to ride a llama, but she'll have to make do with a horse! ) somewhere scenic (yeehaw! I'm tempted too I must admit). Any ideas where we could get a beginners horse riding tour for an hour or two?

We'll be horseback riding in CA this summer, but we will be going up the coast near Morro Bay, and that sounds like it's a little too far for you (J and J riding)
But I found this near LA, www.pvhorses.com Good luck!

While researching things to do around Hollywood, I found this riding stable. Right in the Hollywood hills, in or near Griffith Park.
http://www.sunsetranchhollywood.com/ Disclaimer - I haven't used them, and some of the reviews make them sound a little difficult to deal with. Google for some reviews. Still, they're very close to LA! |
