-Oof. Your bridal hair should not start to fall out right away!
-I am excited for your 5k too.
-I am so surprised you got your money back right away. Just wow. At least there’s that?
-Yummm I want funfetti with buttercream.
-I looove the horsies.
-I had that same prince! He was boring.
-I think I actually had all of the same characters. They were awesome for me too. Wait til you hear about my heart to heart with Lady Tremaine…
-I love the STDs… but good luck with the grandparents. Mine were surprisingly okay with it (but they love Disney.)
-And I’m not gonna lie, I’m kind of jealous of all your quickie Disney trips!

Okay, all caught up now.

Cute save the dates! Really came out nice. You are way ahead of me. I haven't sent mine out yet and we are set to wed Oct. 14!!!! Yikes. Congrats to you on being efficient. I am waiting on our Cinderella "Save The Date" stamps to come.

Anway, yours look lovely and don't worry about the grandparents, they will be okay. I bet they will handle it better than you think.

-The StDs came out great! You two really are so adorable together.

-We haven't told Doug's parents that it's a completely non-religious ceremony, so I get your feelings about not telling your grandparents. Thankfully, my parents don't care. In fact, my mom's words were "Oh, good! All that kneeling when we got married was a pain in the neck!" Sometimes she's cool. (Just not often enough )

-Yay weekend trip and surprise dinner! I can't wait to hear where Max chose.

-Multiple times this past week (where it's barely been above freezing), I've told Doug that when he retires, we need to have a second home in a warm place for the winter. Driving distance to Orlando sounds about right!

Awww wow, your save the dates are lovely.

I am very jealous of your trips to Disney lol.... closest I get is a trip into town to visit a very old looking Disney Store.

Can't wait to find out where you're having dinner xx

the save the dates are so cute!

And good luck with your grandparents! When I was younger, I told my very religious grandparents that I was getting married on a beach when I got older and they freaked out and brought it up every chance they could get. So they were pretty relieved that this was at least a little bit like a church and we had a Rev for our officiant!

can't wait to find out where your surprise dinner was!

Looooooooove your STD, they are so pretty!

I can't believe your hair trial, that's crazy!! It's nice they gave you your money back so fast, doesn't seem like it's the first time doing that.

Surprise Honeymoon? I think I would feel the same as you, it's sweet though!! I can't wait to hear where it's going to be.

Oh, and last but not least- I LOVE MILLER ALE HOUSE HONEY MUSTARD!! I seriously will dip anything in it...salmon, broccoli, chicken...whatever!

Can't wait to hear how your weekend trip went, I wanna know where the surprise ressie was!

Life Update!

Happy Monday everyone!

Sadly, this post will NOT be about our most recent trip as Max has all of our pictures on his phone! We didn't take too many photos but there are enough for a mini-TR. Expect that hopefully soon-ish!

I figured I'd update with a few checks, a question, and a life update:

Checks:
1. Our violinist can play "Married Life" from the UP soundtrack! We are going to use it for our exit as Mr. and Mrs.

2. We've also decided to just let the violinist pick the rest of the music-- strangely enough, neither of us really care what is played as long as we get our UP song. Maybe things will change between now and December but this is our plan right now. We're so lazy

3. My MOH was able to get 2 weeks off in July to come home! This means we can start planning my shower! Liz, my MOH, is a Disney girl like me and really just "gets" me. We've been friends since 10th grade and I can't wait to see what she and my mom plan. Recently we were talking about a Hunger Games shower-- we had so many good ideas! The food in a cornucopia, different tables are different districts, I was going to be set on fire, lots of bread everywhere. Sadly, I don't think our guests would like it.

4. We only have a few STDs left to send out. We made a big mistake by sending them out before we had everyone's addresses (we were missing like 15) and then we got all confused as to who actually got one and who didn't. We finally figured it out and now sent out the next batch. Thankfully, we only have 3 more to send!

It's been pretty boring in the wedding planning department right now but that's okay! I'm thankful for the break. I know things will pick up with registering, the shower, and DIY projects soon enough!

A Question:
Has anyone had a hair/makeup trial done by Beaute Speciale or LeJune Artistry before their wedding?

If so, do you know if I can just go to them or if they need to come to my hotel?

We will be in Disney in February for the Princess run and I figured it'd be a good time to try another trial!

Thanks!

Life Update!

I'm sure many of you have seen on FB, my mommy and I ran a Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday! We had a blast!

This was our "trial" race for the Princess 5k in February! We stopped training in December (oops) but finished well enough. We're hoping that with more training we can improve our (embarrassing) time at the Princess!

My lovely twin Shannon is a runner and warned me that I could catch the running bug.. and you know what? I think I have!! I hate running while I'm actually doing it but crossing that finish line feels amazing!

Plus, I LOVE t-shirts. If I can get a t-shirt for doing something, I'll do it. Race bibs are cool too. I'm the girl that would sign up for activities and sports JUST for the outfit. I even considered joining a sorority in college just to get all the t-shirts (so not a sorority girl!). It's safe to say I drove my parents nuts...

Finally, here are some pictures of our 5k! We were on my college's "team". Our mascot is the Owls so our team name was "The Pink Owls".. aren't our shirts cute?!? As a team, we raised about $5k!

Before we left the house at 5:45 (sleepy!):

Lined up and ready to go!:

Immediately after the race (not lookin' so pretty anymore! ):

Under the balloon arch!:

Notice that I'm holding an ice cream cone in that last picture..? They were giving out TONS of food-- Dunkin Donuts, fruit, and... Skinny Cow Ice Cream Cones! I was sold. It was delicious!

There was also a pony there but I didn't get a picture with him.

Can't wait till our Princess 5k!

Thanks for reading along, friends! I hope everyone has a great week!
