Your HOME?!?!?!??? I thought you didn't get back til early Easter morning! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Sorry if I confused anyone with my post when I said about now I bet they are thinking it can't possibly be ALMOST over!!! Always seems when we take trips that when that final full day comes around, after it seemed like we had so many to enjoy originally, that it always hits me.......Is it possible we really go home tomorrow??? Sorta like that late afternoon Sunday feeling when you realize......Work in the morning......

Hello everyone! Happy Easter! yes we got back this morning! flt arrived at 530 am, we were home by 730 am after dropping mom off at home!

a VERY long days yesterday, did Pearl Harbor and then 3 1/2 wait at airport! flt was good, I slept most of it thankfully, Megan did about 3 1/2 hours too! did take a little nap as I'm feeling a bit groggy and jet lagged, bed early tonight for us both!

we did have a great trip overall! no big issues with anyone so that was good news! bits of attitude along the way with the kids, but that was expected!

will hope to get a TR started in a few days....haven't even touched my luggage yet!

thanks Michelle....will just say it was what I expected it to be...wasn't the way I wanted to see HI for the first time, but didn't have much say in it since my mom paid for the cruise!

Welcome to our HI Island Cruise TR!

this trip was a gift from my mom for our family!

our cruiser's!
Me - Lisa
DD - Megan
DM - Theresa
older DB and his family - Jeff, Kristi, Max
younger DB and his family - Joe, Buffy, Zach

we cruised on NCL's Pride of America March 31 - April 7 around the islands of Hawaii!
started and ended at Honolulu, Oahu then onto Kahului, Maui - Hilo, Big Island - Kona, Big Island and Nawiliwili, Kauai!

since there was 9 of us....we decided we should all vacation the way we wanted! did some excursions together and some just ourselves...made for a much better trip overall!

we flew out Friday night March 30th....one so we wouldn't have to worry about late flights and getting to the ship and two, saved mom lots of $$ on airfare!

the kids at the airport waiting - flight was delayed about 1 1/2 hours due to the plane had bad weather coming in from Minnesota

Zach, Max and Megan

flight went great once we were airborn and we arrived at Honolulu International around 930pm....we were greeted by a representative from Pleasant Hawaiian with lei's

he took us to pick up our bags, then out to our shuttle van to be taken to the Ashton Waikiki Beach Hotel....check in went good and we were all tired, so went to bed about 11pm

the next morning we looked out our window to see this, our little peak at the beach

we headed downstairs to breakfast and ate at the pool deck before heading out to walk around Waikiki with Jeff, Kristi and Max.....Joe, Buffy and Zach went to go swim with the dophins and met up with us later....mom decided to hang out at the hotel for a bit and rest!

decided to head down to visit the Waikiki Aquaruim....took these photos on our way down

these are banyan trees....so BIG

the aquarium was a nice and little, a great way to spend a bit of time and learn about the sealife around the islands..

on the way back to the hotel we ran into mom/grandma

the kids decided they wanted to go back to the hotel, so mom and Kristi took them while Jeff and I walked around a bit more

we headed back to the hotel....got changed into our embarkation shirts, packed up and headed to the port!

check in for the cruise went pretty quickly and here we are all ready to cruise...our shirts were made by a fellow DISer cogero....thanks Chiara for our great shirts, got lots of great comments on them!

we headed up to the buffet for lunch, then off to explore the ship a bit

i really didn't take to many photos of the ship for some reason

decided to hang out on the pool deck with some drinks while waiting for our cabins to open up

cabin was ready about 3, so we headed down to level 4 our cabin was 4058 mid ship and was a great spot for the stairs and elevators

our luggage got delivered pretty quick....got unpacked and then up to our life boat drill....didn't have to wear our life jackets for it, went good and pretty quick...so we headed back to our cabins to get cleaned up for dinner in the Skyline restaurant....the food was okay and we enjoyed our servers Christopher and Malik

after dinner we said our good nights and went back to the cabin, tired and wanting to get some sleep before our first excursion in the morning for Megan and I!!

next up Maui!!!
