Kids Take the 1st Ride (and Drive, and Flight) at LEGOLAND Florida

(Driving) School is In Session!

Rides at LEGOLAND® Florida Receive All A’s

From LEGOLAND Florida's Press Release:
Quote:
WINTER HAVEN, FL - Even though students are just getting back to the classroom, Central Florida’s newest theme park LEGOLAND® Florida has gotten its marks by the toughest critics – Kids! Scheduled to open to the public on October 15, LEGOLAND has more than 50 rides, shows and attractions all geared toward families with children ages 2-12. This weekend, the still-under-construction park invited twenty- two children and parents to be the first to ride four of LEGOLAND Florida’s rides. They soared in flight, drove their own LEGO® cars, trekked an African safari and battled through an Egyptian treasure hunt.

Flying School – a suspended steel coaster that lets kids experience the thrill of flight

Driving School – a “real-life” driving experience for children ages 6 through 13, where kids receive their official LEGOLAND driver’s license

Safari Trek – explores the wilds of Africa and features gorgeous, life-like LEGO animals

Lost Kingdom Adventure – LEGOLAND Florida’s spectacular dark ride invites guests to fire laser blasters at targets and brave the rugged Egyptian landscape in all-terrain roadsters, while attempting to unearth the vast treasures of a forgotten empire

Doggone it, I was bound and determined our next trip was going to be "Disney, and nothing else," but now I want to go to Legoland.

We are still undecided on Legoland for our Decemebr trip. I have 2 DS (6 and 1). My oldest is a total Lego fanatic. He builds Lego stuff 2-3 hours a day.

Thing is my brother lives out west and says Legoland is a neat place, but the crowd management is pretty poor. Not sure we want to deal with it this trip or not since we will have little man in tow.

I am anxiously awaiting the myriad of Legoland reports that I am sure will come pouring in starting mid-October.

Maybe I will just take DS6 with Dad to Legoland. Either way it looks like a really cool park.

Thought Legoland was not suppose to open until October 2011 - this sure looks like fun

Looks fantastic. Too bad they didn't have this 10 years ago. My 2-12 year olds are now in College!

Can't wait. We are going in November.

My kids haven't been to Legoland since we left California in '05.

we are taking my DS 6 to Legoland which in Florida in October - he has no idea we are keeping the Legoland trip as a total surprise - he loves his lego especially star wars lego.

thanks for the photos - do you know if there is any height restrictions for the rides - mainly the roller coaster one - think it is called flying school.

Thanks in advnace
