Renting out our Timeshare for a week???
We have a trip booked @ our home resort Westgate Lake and Resorts this Nov.5-12th, but have been given a great deal on DVC, which we would have to use alot of points fast, so we are thinking of renting our week out. Does anyone have a site or anyidea where I can find potentional persons that would be interested.
TIA Brenda

There are several sites which offer rental ads. The Timeshare Users Group (TUG) is one and Redweek.com is another. There are numerous other timeshare sites which may offer ads. And there are always regular sales sites like eBay and Craigs list.
The DIS has a DVC Rent/Trade board, but I don't believe you can rent non-DVC timeshares there. On another note -- if you haven't done it already, you might go over to the DIS DVC Operations board and run your "great deal" by the folks there. Especially if you are thinking of buying direct from Disney, you may learn that the "great deal" is not all it's billed to be. I'd be careful buying ANY timeshare. |

www.myresortnetwork.com -- also works
got rid of my Westgate finally last year - gave it to a charity. with westgate kept in mind you may not be able to even get your annual fee on a rental.
