Just FYI for BLT lovers: I was able to get 20% off rack rate for late April/early May on BLT studios, 1 bedroom villas and 2 bedroom villas when I called WDW today (room only reservation). They did not have TPV for the 2 bedroom, but I was able to book a 2 bedroom lake view at 20% off! So excited, and had to share in case this helps anyone else!

OK, returning for more CR dining advice! Park hours have changed for October, so we let go of our Wave breakfast ADR and will just have to get donuts/milk/fruit for the room that morning.

Our next challenge is our departure day - I've been trying to get that Chef Mickey's ADR for the morning of Tuesday, October 9 and it's just not happening. Now, I sound kind of silly because I made a back-up ADR for our January trip, so we'll get there soon. But we're staying at CR in October, so CM would be perfect then. And we're staying at Poly in January, so Kona would be convenient. I'll absolutely give up my Kona breakfast in January so that our youngest can get to Chef Mickey's. But I can save the January Kona ADR if I we get in Chef Mickey's standby, as a previous poster mentioned. Is the best strategy just to hop down to CM's at 7am and see if they can fit us in before Magical Express comes to get us around 9:30am?

I wanted to add - I called yesterday to verify I had the correct info for sending a package and asked about the pick up fee. The lady I spoke to said there was no charge to have a package sent/received there - so I sent two. Here's hoping...

Thank you Qmom!!! After trying for a while, we decided to change course. Given our plans for arrival morning and departure morning, along with our down time at the resort before MNSSHP, I decided to book Chef Mickey's for our January trip (when we're staying at Poly and BWI) and upgrade our October CR reservation to CL. Breakfast problems solved for both mornings! (And allows the boys to sleep in before Magical Express arrives the morning after the party.)

So . . . if anyone would like to share their thoughts regarding CL at CR, that would be great!

We stayed tower club before and enjoyed it. Breakfast choices are varied, cereals, Danish, juice. We enjoyed it.

we just got home from a 7 day stay at the CR.. the club level offerings for breakfast were the following:

coffee
milk
juices
4 kinds of cereal
oatmeal
lots of fuit and fixings for oatmeal
pastries
muffins
toast and bagels

we ate breakfast in there everyday and always had something there that we all could enjoy
Club level was awesome!!

am thinking of renting points to stay at BLT next Dec 4 -7 to surprise my DD (will be at AofA starting 11/26 ) any suggestions on getting the standard, lake or theme park view? am leaning towards lake view, but would like some input!

Members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) timeshare program will be the recipients of a great new perk beginning October 1. On a video posted on the DVC website this morning, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Claire Bilby, announced a new discount available from October 1 to December 31, 2012. For just $399, DVC members can purchase a Walt Disney World Premium Annual Pass. The normal price of these passes is $699, so that's a savings of $300 (DVC members normally pay $559 for a Premium Annual Pass, so it's still a substantial savings). A Premium Annual Pass allows access to all four theme parks, plus both water parks, Disney Quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course and free parking.

Passes aren't activated until they have been used for the first time, so take advantage of this deal while it's being offered even if your current annual pass hasn't expired. For DVC members to renew a regular annual pass, it is $385, so for $14 more, you would get the extra benefits a premium annual pass offers over a regular annual pass. DVC members have until December 31, 2013 to activate these passes.

After October 1, DVC members will also get 10% off merchandise at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

This is our first year with annual passes and being DVC members. Our AP expire April 2013, $14 more sounds pretty good. Is anyone taking advantage of this offer?

Are you planning on 2012 or 2013? For 2012 I'm sure all the standard and MK views would be gone already. Lake views fill up last, just because there are so many more of them.

I just want to confirm with you all in regards to a room request.
We have an upcoming 1 bedroom lake view reservation for 10/14-10/21. From what I have read on this thread if I want to be able to see MK fireworks from our balcony I should request a high floor on the north side? Can I request this when my online checkin date is available?
