I can't eat it right now, but if we're at WDW all bets will be off! I'm a total Mac n Cheese junkie. If you didn't put bacon or anything in it Sharton's DH could eat it too. Although it could be bad if I want to wear that German Dress to MNSSHP....

Yeah, I meant fresh perishable stuff They do have some good frozen products.

I only put cheese and breadcrumbs in it No meat or anything

I do plan on eating in the parks most of the time, but I want to make this a long trip. I'm hoping I can talk someone into coming with me so that I can share the studio with them. There's this guy I've been talking to that I met on a dating site and, well... We seem to be getting along very well so far I'm hoping we can meet up in person sometime over the next couple of weeks.

What we find is that between two of us we order two appetizers, one entree and one dessert, and we rarely even eat at QS locations. If we do we split that, so I find the dining plan to be too much food. If I'm trying to eat at the F&W kiosks, I don't even bother with TS reservations becuase there's just too much food!

I have a full set of kitchen knives in my Owner's Locker!
With all the food we seem to be planning on buying, I was wondering if anyone was planning on the DDP.

I'm hoping that you'll have some points to rent for me to afford staying at the BCV again. Otherwise, I'm going to have to hope for a % off discount.

And yes...F&W will be a must; and probably a MNSSHP.

With your full set of kitchen knives, it really is no wonder you need a swiss army LIFE instead.

There's a cafeteria at the Dolphin that sells a pretty good mac and cheese. DSis makes this recipe from the S/D recipe of the month club. Of course if you don't like crab you won't like it, but for those that do, it's delicious.

Yes chris likes the DDP. I will probably upgrade ours. I know it costs a little bit. but oh well. We dont plan many big vacations so somethings are worth it once in a while.

Gelson's has been around for decades, but mostly in the Valley and West Hollywood, I guess you lived in South/East Orange County.

That watermelon baby basket is so cute, but I don't have that kind of time on my hands! I don't do the DDP since it doesn't work for us. Besides, there's too many morsels to snack on at the kiosks!

Studios run for 15 points on the weeknights and 16 points on the weekends. I've got 300 BCV points allotted for my 1br for 10 days. With banking and borrowing, that leaves me with an estimated 391 points (I might have all 400 depending on our TDL plans, what with the next Expo in Spring of 2013). I'll probably have enough to rent to a few people, plus if we decide to do a split stay and go over to the WL or BLT or even OKW for a nice huge villa for a couple days. Now THERE would be a place to have a big party, but there might be transportation issues. But the villas are HUGE and they have very nice patio areas.

Has anyone done a Wishes Cruise? There has been talk about them on the [Ears to Ears] email group that I'm on. The boats fit 8 or 10 people (24ft or 28ft). I don't think I would be at WDW at any other time with enough people to make it worth our while (we could be extravagant and do a couples romatic cruise ). It might be something to think about. I think it was around $300 + tip for the 24 ft boat and $350 + tip for the 28 ft. Split between 8-10 people it doesn't sound so bad any more....

I've heard that the Wishes cruises are fabulous and would LOVE to do one But, if I'm single and it's a "romantic couples cruise", I might just watch Wishes in the park or on the beach or something. Kind of tired of being the third (or fifth or seventh) wheel. But that's just me. Who knows, this guy and I might start dating

DH and I have shared a Wishes cruise with a family and it was fun. Same for Illuminations cruises. The Captain of the boats make it interesting, but I think they tell the same sort of tales that Bus Drivers are known for. The Community board of Theme Parks here has a sticky with people wanting to share a cruise or people who have a cruise with extra seats. In January some Disboard friends and myself have joined a family of 4 for a Wishes cruise. When there's 10 total, the cost including the tip is around $40 per person. There are soft drinks and an assortment of chips included in the price.

There are 2 types of pontoon boats, one doesn't have the music piped in, and I don't think that would be as much fun, but I think those captains try to keep the boat near a pontoon that does have the music.

We did an Illuminations Cruise in May 2010. It was nice but the wind was blowing in the wrong direction and we got a lot of fireworks fallout over us.

I suspect that Wishes might be a better option; providing you get on a pontoon with the music piped on-board.

Yeah, I've seen that info somewhere else I was looking into it for a trip I was planning on taking with my best friend and her husband.

I like Wishes cruises more because the Illuminations boats all have to fit under the bridge that is between Great Britain and France. If all of the boats are booked, you're all squeezed into a smallish space. The one time we did do one, with people from the Disboard, there was a couple on the next boat over who got married. So, everyone clapped and enjoyed the special time.

As I said on the LTP thread, we'll mostly eat from the kiosks on the days we go into Epcot. I want to do a PFTS on one of the Saturday nights we are there, otherwise I will avoid Epcot like the plague on Fri & Sat nights. We'll probably do a signature or two. It's been a while since we've been to Flying Fish (2 years now) and same for Yachtsman, although I've heard some really good things about Shula's too. I would be interested in trying LeCellier for dinner now that they have a Rib Eye. We'd only eat at one Steakhouse though, so I'd have to make a choice. If anyone wanted to eat at Teppan Edo, I'm sure I could be talked into that one! Plus we have at least three trips in the works before this meet we're planning so I might want to go back to some of the new places we're trying, or get to one or two that we still haven't been able to fit in!

I know I don't want to eat Disney food for 10 days straight so if we do the potluck one night, I might cook for Fran and I one or two other nights, just for something different and lower in calories!
