Question Suggestions for family fitness?

DH and I are starting to feel like couch potatoes. We're not Pooh sized yet (through no fault of our own, still coasting on a youthful metabolism), but we'd like to be more active and we want to include our two girls (4yo and 18 mo).

Our living space and our budget is small, so we can't invest in a lot of equipment. I'd have loved to do Couch to 5k, but can't see that working for our family. So, I was thinking we might start with a morning exercise routine like my grandfather learned during WWII. I just can't remember what exercises he did and I'm drawing a blank on other ideas. Would any clever DISers have ideas? Maybe some yoga poses? TIA!

I think fun over routine at this time. Get out and move for 30-60 minutes a day. It does not necessarily need to be structured so think kick ball, running/walking, biking, gardening, swimming....

If you need some structure.. Here are some body weight workouts that will help create muscle.

Beginner:
Jumping jacks -- 20
Squats -- 10
Push-ups -- 10 or to failure
Stationary lunges -- 10 each leg
Front plank -- hold for 30 seconds
Side plank -- hold for 10 seconds each side

Intermediate:
Jumping jacks -- 50
Jump squats -- 10
Plyo Push-ups -- 10 or to failure
Stationary lunges -- 20 each leg
Plank -- hold for 60 seconds
Side Plank -- hold for 30 seconds each side
Handstand w/ legs against wall -- hold for 30 seconds

Advanced:
Jumping jacks -- 100
Pistol squats -- 10 each leg or to failure
One arm push-ups -- 10 each arm or to failure
Jumping lunges -- 10 each side
Handstand -- hold for 60 seconds
Plank with one leg -- hold for 60 seconds each leg
Side plank with one leg -- hold for 20 seconds each side

Just google the title of the exercise for visual cues.
