How long have you waited in line for a ride
Just wondering how long your waits were in some the theme parks during peak and off peak seasons for major attractions?

This is just me, but I won't wait more than 30 minutes (usually less) for a ride. I go during a slower time of year (October) and utilize fast pass and single rider lines as much as possible. And I also arrive before rope drop every day, even though I'm definitely not a morning person!

I will not wait more than 30 mintues for a ride but waited over an hour for some of the Character meet and greets for SWW(especially chewy and the droids). I am a sucker for a picture with a character. I also waited over 90 minutes for my niece to see the princesses in MK(thank goodness they have FP now). I estimate that I spend at least half my time when I am at a Disney park doing character meet & greets.

we generally try to avoid waiting too long in the lines. however, we've waited for the fairies for 45 minutes. and on a Thanksgiving trip, we got into the Space Mountain line that said 45 minutes. it ended up being over an hour though. it was so late at night by that point, i was too tired to truly enjoy it.

I still think I need my head examined for this one....
We waited in line for TSM for 180 minutes last year. My mom really wanted to go on it so we waited since all the FP's were gone by 10a when we arrived. The things we won't do for others sometimes....

The longest I have ever, ever waited (and the only reason I waited was because my niece and nephew really, really wanted to) was 2.5 hours for Soarin' during Spring Break '08.
And President's Day '09, we waited 75 minutes to meet Tinkerbelle. ANd then of course the 2.5 year old that was dying to meet Tink was too shy to even look at her!

We usually don't wait if the lines are more than 30 minutes because my son is autistic and just can't wait that long. I have waited for more than 2 hours on TOT back in 2000 on our honeymoon. I had pulled my back out and my husband was pushing me in a wheelchair. Other than that, we have waited about an hour and a half to see Tinkerbell a couple of years ago. My daughter really wanted to see her so I took her and left my husband and son to ride some rides while we waited in line!

and it was still awesome ![]() May 2010 waited 45 minutes in line for the Fairies for my Mom. Got there maybe 5 minutes after Toon Town RD. I don't care for the fairies that much, but that one was just for Mom

Like others, I usually do not want to wait any longer than 30 minutes. However, I do remember a time in August --- crowded --- when Splash Mountain had a 45 minute wait. Needless to say that turned into 60 minutes. I just remember the overbearing heat! It was dd's favorite ride so all worth it (I think?) in the end.

We waited nearly 90 minutes for Star Tours with a posted wait time of 20 minutes. They just kept taking the other side over, and over again. Afterwards we told an earpiece dude and he gave us an "anywhere but TSM" family fastpass! He said "I can't touch that place (TSM)." We had to laugh. If Walt showed up, he'd wait in line at TSM!

The longest I have waited in line during the summer at Walt Disney World, starting when I was an adult and in control of my own touring plans, was about 30 minutes. I believe that was for Magic Carpets of Aladdin, which wasn't on our plan at the time. I am not willing to wait longer. I will get a FastPass or come back later.
Some of my family waited 35 for Primeval Whirl once, but that was accidental, because the wait time said 20 minutes. Now I have seen 180 minutes for Soarin' and Toy Story Mania, but I've never waited more than 30 for anything. |

First off, I am a plotter and a schemer when it comes to avoiding lines, but on this trip we were mislead by the posted wait time for . . . Maelstrom! The sign said 20 minutes for standby, but we waited about an hour. I still can't believe the longest wait of our trip was the Norwegian boat ride! At least it was air-conditioned and smelled like Laila!

My general rule is not to join a line with a posted wait time over 20 minutes. If I am smart with my fastpasses I shoudn't need to wait that long. However it has backfired on us a couple of times where a 20 minute wait turned into an hour, but that is the exception rather than the rule and can be expected.
