The Wonder is scheduled in Hawaiian ports every day between Sept. 15-23 and the ports are repeated- so that means two one-way cruises. DCL could end the second cruise in Ensenada on Sept. 29, unload passengers there, then sail with crew only to LA that day.

It will be interesting to see the prices on the one-way cruises. If you sailed from Vancouver to Hawaii you'd have to add on the airfare back from Hawaii to home. If you sailed from Hawaii you'd have the air fare to Hawaii, then most likely the hassle of bussing from Ensenada to San Diego, then flying home.

The 15-day cruise from Los Angeles had too many sea days for a lot of people, tho I'm not complaining! Just wondering how much you'd save by doing a shorter cruise when you have to add $$$ for additional airfare.

The DVC members who stay at Aulani would really benefit from the one-way cruises, assuming they didn't use up all their points at the resort before the cruise.

I really wish DCL would buy out NCL America so the Jones Act wouldn't be an issue.

Or DCL could do a one-way from Vancouver to Hawaii, a one-way from Hawaii and Vancouver, and a one-way from Vancouver to Los Angeles (via various Pacific Coast ports).

This would be completely legal under the PVSA. And it would provide three compelling itineraries.

Each Hawaii cruise could have around 5 sea days and 4 or 5 Hawaiian port days. There could be 2 cruises in a 3-week period. This would allow all the port calls of the recent 2-week DCL Hawaii cruise without having to cross half the Pacific Ocean twice in the same cruise.

There are pretty decent one-way airfares between the mainland and Hawaii on Alaska Airlines. Also, several frequent flyer programs (including AAdvantage) were changed several years go to offer one-way rewards rather than only roundtrip rewards.

Plus stop at the border too. Most people had not much good to say about this.
Can't find it using google. Do you have a web page/URL?

Believe DCL is just booking a range of days just in case for Hawaii. With the Wonder scheduled on Sept 14 and 29th, it is almost a lock that it will be the 15 day RT from LA as previously done.

My money is still on two one-way Hawaii cruises. Time will tell...one of these days...maybe! In the meantime, DCL dilly-dallied too long, and I've lost interest in going to Hawaii with them.

Agree 100%. However, from the TRs from the last cruise, not sure if May is a good month hopefully Sept will be better.
