Where to stop and eat - driving from SF to DL - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi,

We are driving to Disneyland from San Francisco. Any good recommendations to stop and have lunch or dinner on the way down (other than numerous fast food). Or generally any good way stations that are a good place to stop.

What is your driving routine?

Are you taking the quick route? I-5
or the slower 101?
or the scenic but very long Hwy 1?

We are planning to go 1-5 to 405. Leaving SF at 10 am

Kettleman City has a place called Mikes Roadhouse Cafe that gets good reviews, there is also an In-N-Out burger there.
Its been many years since we drove from San Jose (near San Fran) to LA
we used to stop in Kettleman city and at the bottom of the Grapevine

yeah, I would stop at In 'n Out. But that is because we don't have it in our state and I miss it.

Of course, for steakhouse type food, there's always Harris Ranch near Coalinga.
