Wow! That's a lot on your plate. Prayers to your family, I hope your grandmother's health improves.

Don't worry about the pace of your updates! Write when you can. These past couple of weeks have been a blur for me with the end of the school year and other activities so I haven't been able to keep up anyway!

Good luck with your treatments. My oldest son was a fertility baby- my fingers are crossed for you!

Don't worry about updating, the Dis will still be here once you get a chance to a break.

Sending prayers and pixie dust for your grandmother and your fertility treatments.

I am so sorry to hear that you had an unmagical arrival. I would have been near tears, too.
What is up with the CMs being so rude!!!
I am glad it finally got rectified and you got a room with a wonderful view and got upgraded to CL. I didn't even know that existed until you told about it. I guess I am not as well versed in everything Disney, yet.
Your PP pic is so great! You and your DH looked great standing in front of the castle. I couldn't even tell you were both irritated and exhausted.
Cannot wait to read more!!!!
Thanks! I guess we are "those" crazy cat people - he's like our baby! I guess that will change when we have kids which, btw - Nemo hates LOL. We joke that when we bring home our newborn if he/she doesn't get along with Nemo will have our parents take our baby in so we can keep the cat. We're totally joking of course but it's still funny. Anyway... Luckily things got better after the first day, but it still upsets me when I think about it. I didn't know that much about CL to be honest, I learned more after we were home LOL. I doubt we'll ever stay CL again because I'd never pay for it so it was a nice treat.

Thanks! I can't believe we have been back from Disney for over a month. I can no longer blame my exhaustion on Disney, lol.

Thanks! Today was one of the first days since we got back that I had a lot of energy - I cleaned my house from top to bottom finally and now I feel a lot better (but tired from all that work haha)

Thank you! My grandmother seems to be doing better now that she is home. I know what you mean about these past few weeks being a blur. I cannot believe we have been home from Disney for over 4 weeks. I have no idea what has happened since then, LOL. I need to start enjoying summer before it is over!!! I have so many other TRs to catch up on!!! We're both really hopeful that this drug will work a miracle for us - I'm excited at the increased possibility of multiples but DH thinks I'm crazy for wishing for twins LOL.

Let the Memories Begin - Day 2, Part 1

I guess that's the new Disney World theme? Surprisingly I did not know that before we went. I personally liked the Year of a Million Dreams & What will you celebrate? better.

Day 2, Part 1

When we last left over many moons ago, it was the end of our arrival day in Disney. After a long and frustrating day, we were finally hitting the hay around 11:45 pm. We needed to catch up on rest in a hurry – we wanted to make it to MK for the rope drop at 9 am!
I had the alarm set for 6 am. I woke up and looked at the clock – 8:13. Oh no! Either I turned my alarm off in my sleep (which happens a lot) or it never went off. We had to hurry and get ready, the MK opened in 45 minutes! We went up to CL and got some breakfast to bring back to the room and eat while we got ready (I had to wait a half hour at least to eat since my morning med has to be taken on an empty stomach)

We both had some fruit & pastries. As you can see we had fruit before I remembered to take the pictures. I had Mango juice, and DH had some pineapple juice. So yummy!!
By 9:40 we were leaving the AKL, and were arriving at MK by 10 – not too bad, but we were nervous that since the park had been opened for an hour, we were going to be walking into a hot mess. We stopped to have a few pictures taken in front of the train station.

The first thing we did was buy some sunglasses at the little shop before you enter the MK. DH’s were broken (did I tell that story yet?) and mine just weren’t working for me. Luckily we found 2 pairs and were on our way. We stopped on Main St. USA to have some pictures taken.

…and then again on our way to Tommorrowland

We were headed to Space Mountain, of course! It was 10:35 by this point, the stand by was 20 minutes so I wanted to just wait, but DH did not – he hates waiting so thank goodness for the FP system. He doesn’t like waiting for rides that you can FP, so he suggested we go get in line for something that we couldn’t. The FP return time was for 11-12, so I agreed. We ended up walking into the line for the Tomorrowland Speedway – believe it or not we had never been on this before! We took separate cars since we both wanted to drive. We ended up getting separated and he was done first. Those cars are so hard to drive, haha. But it was nice doing something new. While we were waiting to get in a car, we saw that Alice and the white rabbit were out. That is where we headed next. The line wasn’t too long, but it was moving slow. We were excited about seeing the white rabbit, since we never have before – this trip was all about the firsts! He had to take frequent breaks so we were afraid we were going to wait and miss him. DH went in search of some bottled water while I held our place in line. After he left I thought it would’ve been a better idea to use a snack credit and get a smoothie from Auntie Gravity’s, but it was too late. Oh well, it was hot and the cold water hit the spot. Finally it was our turn, and the white rabbit made it back just in time! Alice in Wonderland has a special place in my heart since my mom’s name is Alice, and looked just like her when she was younger (long blonde hair). She was excited when we told her we got to meet Alice & the white rabbit!

After that we decided it was only appropriate to ride the Mad Tea Party. We walked through the line and just getting in the next ride, so we were first for the one after that.

We decided to walk over to Frontierland and get a FP for Splash Mountain before riding Space Mountain. It was really hot and we were looking forward to cooling off later. Splash Mountain was down, but we hoped it would be running later when we could use our FP (12:05-1:05). Then it was back to Space Mountain. We stopped and looked at the menu again for Columbia Harbour House. We were undecided where to eat. We also scoped out the menu at Pinnochio Village Haus. I was partial to CHH since I wanted some tuna, but DH wasn’t in the mood for anything there but said if I wanted it we could still eat there. But we had somewhere else in mind that would make both of us happy.
The last time we were in Disney, Space Mountain was down for refurbishment. We waited for a little while before we got on. While we were waiting there were some “woo girls” (does anyone else watch How I Met Your Mother?) and we thought it was funny – they were just getting into the cars and already woo-ing LOL. Finally it was our turn. Wow, Space Mountain REALLY changed. It was really jerky and I had no idea what was going on. It felt like a different ride entirely, except for the beginning. I spent the whole time praying because I thought I was going to die LOL. But I survived. I figured DH must have loved it since he loves coasters (I don’t) but when we got off, I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to seem like a wimp. Luckily DH said “wow that was really intense, don’t you think?” so I felt better that it wasn’t just me. We looked everywhere for our picture but didn’t see it. We thought that they took that option out, so disappointed we didn’t get to see it we walked out of the gift shop and back out into the heat.
There was a PP guy here, so we stopped for a picture. I was confused about the background appeal at this particular spot but it was different so why not!

We were definitely hungry, so we headed off to have lunch. Our destination? Cosmic Ray’s, of course! We had only eaten here once on our honeymoon, so it was time to give it a try again. Neither of us were really sure about what we wanted, especially DH. We ended up splitting up. He went to bay 3 for a BBQ pork sandwich, and I headed to Bay 1 for a grilled chicken sandwich. I really wanted fries, but was good and got apple slices. I didn’t want to tear my stomach up with the grease. It was about noon when we had our trays and were looking for a seat. We ended up outside on the back deck, and we had a gorgeous view of the castle – I don’t know why I didn’t take a picture.
We got some more pixie dust – DH asked for apples with his sandwich but they gave him fries too. Awesome! When I told him we got pixie dust, he looked at me like I had three heads. I tried to explain to him the concept of pixie dust LOL. DH really enjoyed his sandwich. My grilled chicken was pretty good, but there were a few bites I couldn’t eat because it was fatty. DH and I definitely split those pixie dust fries. For dessert I got the sugar free brownie because I knew I couldn’t eat a dessert, and DH got the carrot cake. He loves carrot cake. He only had a few bites, which was unlike him. He said the icing was too sweet. I took a bite and he was right, it was really sickening. The cake part was good though.

With full bellies, we decided to head over to Splash Mountain and use our FP before heading out of the park for a break. Unfortunately, it still wasn’t working. We were bummed because we were getting tired and really didn’t want to wait. The stand by for BTMRR was 40 minutes, and that was probably because nobody was riding Splash Mountain. We started to walk away, but we noticed plumes started going down. We checked – yes, it was working! So we got in line, and rode Splash Mountain. We were in the back. In the past we have somehow managed to not get very wet on the ride, no matter where we were seated. Not this time! We got soaked before we even went down the big drop. And again going down. I feel like it was more me than DH though.

I tried to take a picture of our picture, but as you can see I failed – I cut off DH’s head! Soaked, we made our way out of the park. Since it was hot & humid, I figured we’d be dry before we even got to the bus, LOL. We stopped for some PP pics on our way out.

Luckily a bus pulled up to the AKL stop right after we got there. After we got back to the hotel, we decided to stop at CL and grab some snacks.
That was my first African Smoothie and I was in love!! I had it every day for the rest of the trip. I emailed asking for the recipe, so hopefully I’ll have it soon – it was THAT good.
We decided to take a dip in the pool and cool off before taking a nap.

Up next – Dinner at Biergarten and evening EMH at Epcot!

Oh my goodness, I forgot how horrible my skin looked while we were in Disney. Thank you, Disney for the added stress on our first day and making it worse!

Great photopass pictures! I haven't seen the gold border before. Really nice.

I love the sunglasses you guys got!

Too bad you didn't make it for park opening but it sounds like you didn't do too bad catching up.

I liked the new version of Space Mountain, although it had probably been like 15-20 years since I had been on this ride, for a variety of reasons. It was shut down during some of our past trips, the kids were too small (and not interested) in riding and frankly, it scared me. The tracks seemed so close, I feared decapitation. And I am only 5 feet tall!

I was afraid I would look like your DH does in the Splash Mountain redneck photo! I love that!

How was the line for the Tomorrowland Speedway? It always seems very long to me, and it is out in the sun, so it is hot, too.

I really like the variety of food you can get at Cosmic Rays, but I hate that you have to go to different counters to get it.

Loving all the PP pics... we're thinking of getting the CD, but I've never done PP before. So it's nice to see all the photos.

I rode Space Mtn with my dad on my first trip to WDW (I was 10 at the time)... I hated it! I cried the entire ride, and when we got off I actually smacked my dad, I was so mad at him for making me ride it (even though I love coasters) We didn't do Space Mtn on our '07 trip, as my DDs were too small for it but we rode last year. I was going to skip it but the girls talked me into going... and I still hated it! It's too jerky and you can't see ANYthing.

Your CL breakfast and snack looks yummy!

What a great morning that you had!

I totally know what you mean about the "woo girls". Love How I Met Your Mother.

CHH is one of my favorites too. But Cosmic Ray's is a good standby in case you don't know exactly what you want to eat.

I was happy to see some new borders! Although you can probably tell which one was my favorite, lol. I was upset we didn't make it to rope drop, but I don't feel like we were too behind. The crowds weren't as bad as what we were used to on our past trips. I am so glad to hear you say you feared decapitation. My DH thought I was crazy and I'm 5' too - he's 6'3"! I seriously was convinced my hair was going to get stuck and was going to be ripped off - it was horrible! LOL. I was in a hurry taking the splash mountain picture and I felt so bad I cut his head off. Oh well, being that tall I guess he is used to it! For "no wait" the line did seem long and even though it was pretty early, it was in the blaring sun and by the time we were halfway through the queue I realized it probably wasn't worth it. Oh well, we did it once! I definitely didn't like splitting up at Cosmic Ray's - that must be awful when you have more than 2 people and you all want different things, especially kids. But I did love the options.

I highly recommend the CD! I always preorder it for $99 - can't beat it. We get as many pictures taken as possible, as all of them aren't going to turn out. I love adding the borders too. Since it's just the two of us, we would have no pictures of both of us if it wasn't for photopass. I'm not a fan of roller coasters at all, but I tolerate space mountain for DH. For some reason, I found out on our last trip that I love EE, but I still feel like I'm going to die at any second while I'm on it. The only two rides I won't ride are RnRC and ToT. DH loves both those rides, especially RnRC but doesn't like to ride alone. I feel bad, but he would not like what happened if I sucked it up and went on one of those rides with him LOL.

My DH loves that Donald shirt! And thank you! I think it would be awesome to have twins, but at the same time that will cut down on the number of times I get to (hopefully) be pregnant. I'll take what the good Lord will give me though and won't complain. I'm probably going to be one of those crazy women that actually likes being pregnant and is sad when it's over LOL. I cannot wait to be a mom. My DH is going to make the best dad! I'm so hoping that gets to be his birthday present this year, his birthday is next month but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I am so impatient!!

I always love being in the MK in the morning. Haha, I'm glad someone got my reference. My DH & I LOVE How I Met Your Mother. I was a little sad at first since I wanted tuna for a hot minute, but I eat tuna all the time at work so it really wasn't a big deal - the chicken sandwich at Cosmic Ray's didn't disappoint.
