Wow strike a never there Wally? Sheesh, I wasn't trying to sound "ageist", in fact I find older men "hotter". *Yes I did just use the word "hot" again and will use it more often since it seems to rub you the wrong way. *

It's getting a little heated here... please take the personal spats somewhere else.

As for the issue about the shirts not being available at all stores, something to ponder:

Old Navy has more than 1000 stores.

For them to place an order for a specific piece of merchandise to be sold in ALL stores, you're talking about a pretty big quantity. If they want 6 shirts in each size for S-M-L-XL, that's 24 units per store. 24,000 units total.

If this is a "specialty" item, or made by a smaller manufacturer, or a market test so they can gauge customer interest for the future, they might want to start with a smaller quantity that will only be carried in a few stores the first time out...

Just sayin', this might be about supplier capacity or a marketing test rather than about hate.

I don't think anyone believes it's about "hate" rather more about sloppy marketing.

However, the unacceptable ageist comments, now that may very well be another thing. It's unpleasant to read at any time, but here on a board that is essentially dedicated to acceptance and understanding of all people we are reading about being too old to wear a cheap sweatshirt?

Great. So that'd be You ... and Paris Hilton.
... and is it even possible to use it more often?
Keep rubbing. Keep rubbing. Keep rubbing.

So Old Navy assummed there wouldn't be a great demand for these shirts yet they are sold out in less than an hour? They really dropped the ball on this.

That I would agree on - though they had a very limited quantity.
And they were over a week late getting to the stores.

FYI -only one Old Navy in the Boston area got them in.

The Old Navy "mega" store in Manhattan (Herald Square) were sold out . DD 13 wanted 2 to wear. We are hoping the web site will have them in stock.
