We are planning a trip the week of April 12th-17th and was wondering how the crowds will be. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There are 3 sites I look at for crowd information at Universal. My "favorite" is Universalorlando.com. Look at the price of Express Passes. The more expensive the Express Pass the bigger the Crowds are expected to be. Touringplans.com uses a standard 1-10 crowd scale but is a pay site with a free preview window of crowds. The third is Orlando Informer (can't post link here) it's another free site.

Orlando Informer is saying slow. The other 2 all calling for more Moderate crowds. You're far enough after most of the traditional Spring break periods I don't think it's going to be crowded. But, moderate is probably pretty good guess (4-6).
