Be REALLY careful with the sliver and gold sharpies. I bought them on the cruise to have 3" vinyls signed for my daughters friends and they did not dry like regular sharpies do and the vinyls were RUINED. It was very disappointing because I would have just used a black sharpie had I known
Thanks for the heads up! I am wondering if it is better to use a white scrapbook pen? Sharpies seem to be the thing, though

I don't know, maybe test on the bottom of their feet to see if it dries. My kids were so disappointed with the silver coming off, I seriously could have washed it all off, it made no sense. We did big white ones for us with colored sharpies and had no issues.

If you go to post #7 in this thread: HELP! Vinylmation DCL Set of 7 (I'm sorry but newbie's aren't allowed to post links until they've earned some respect).
There are pics of the new cruise clothed vinyl characters

I've been debating whether to buy one on ebay before we leave or take a chance of getting it there. Do you remember if they had white ones? Thanks!

They also had several white ones at pin traders at downtown disney. We were there on 10/1.

So glad I saw this Thread! I bought a red, pink, and "glow in the dark" from Disney store on line. They are 3", and will let the CM choose their colors. Will be a nice surprise for the family. So many surprises for them. I hope I can keep my mouth shut until Thanksgiving!

Well I'm bummed! We just got off the Magic and brought along a 9 inch vinylmation to have signed. I put a huge packet of sharpies w the vinylmation and they only signed the face.
I didn't put any candy w our package.... Guess that makes a difference! Oops!

When you get your vinylmation back at the end of the cruise, do they deliver it to your stateroom?

Yes they are supposed to. When we were on the MV of the Dream, I was still up packing the rest of our stuff at 11pm and had realized ours never got delivered. Went to guest services and they had to search because everything was supposedly delivered already. They did find eventually.
