The kids menu has an ice cream sundae on there so that's a possibility

Hopefully we'll see ya there!

Have you seen the new Coral Reef menu on the official Disney World site? There are a few minor changes from the menu we had on our Nov. 2010 trip. We shared the Appetizer for Two and really enjoyed it, but they seem to have made a change to the included items. The Sea and Land (shrimp & bbq beef skewers) have been replaced by crispy fried shrimp. And they added a new appetizer (not part of the App for 2) that sounds kind of interesting...fish tostadas. Not sure now what we are going to order for our appetizers. The only change I noticed on the entrees was that they now have a pork chop instead of pork tenderloin...rest of the entrees seem to be the same though. For desserts they have changed the flavor of the creme brulee from butterscotch (which I loved) to passion fruit and the almond gelato was replaced by key lime mousse. So now I'm thinking of maybe finally trying the wave???

Whatever we all decide on I think it will probably be good. We have dined here on our last two trips and had very good food. The first time (family trip in March 2010) we almost all had the New York Strip steak and it was quite good...not YSH good, but better than the filets we had at Le Cellier on that trip. Then last time (Nov. 2010) I had the mahi mahi and really enjoyed it. Oh, and if you like Pina Colavas then ask for a Pina Colava smoothie for your non-alcoholic Dining Plan beverage. Very good!

Congrats on your Birthday. What a great line-up you have. Years ago I was able to celebrate "I'm not 50 yet" at Disney, then 6 months later a suprise trip "I survived 50". Both times I wore my button and had a blast. Hope your Birthday celebration is as much fun as mine was.

Happy Birthday!

I'll be 50 on Friday.

Leaving DH & 3 kids at home while I celebrate with 2 friends at BWI 5/11 to 5/19. We're staying CL and doing TiW rather than DDP. We'll be at Flying Fish on the 12th and California Grill on the 16th.

We all work together and work has been so stressful lately. We are all so ready for this trip.

We'll be at BCV same time. Seems we'll just be missing you at 3 different meals, including Teppan Edo - we'll be there for dinner on the 16th. Have a great time and Happy Birthday! What a great place to celebrate your 50th!!!

I'm bringing my DGF for her first trip on the 12-19th, and we'll be at CG on the 16th for a 9:40 ADR. If you happen to spot a guy in his mid 20s sipping a 7&7 on the balcony during wishes, by all means say hello

Thank you and Happy Birthday to you too!

Wow, we have so much in common...both celebrating our 50th birthdays at Disney World on the exact same dates (or almost, you get to be there one extra day ), staying at the same resort, leaving our husbands and kids behind (well, in my case 2 out of 3...yes, I have 3 kids too ), and dining at two of the same restaurants on the same night. This could all be a mere coincidence, but I think it's more a case of..."Great minds think alike!"

Anyway, I'll be on the lookout for 3 ladies who still look a little like this (from stress) on the 12th at Flying Fish, but by the 16th at California Grill look alot like this .

Hope the three of you have a great time celebrating your 50th birthday at Disney!

So you'll be our neighbors then...just right across the pond. Too bad we will miss you at Teppan Edo though, as it would have been fun to share a table with people from here on the DIS boards. Anyway, I hope you have a great trip too. I see you will be there in just 5 days...how exciting!

Your DGF's first trip...how fun for you both!!! Our ADR is for 7:30 but we will probably try to stick around for the fireworks at 10:00 (our last meal at CG lasted at least 2 1/2 hours so it probably won't be a problem ).

Hope the two of you have a great trip!

Thank you for the birthday wishes and for joining in again Ela! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed my last review from our 25th anniversary celebration trip. Hopefully this review will be even better since I think my DD will be a more willing and active participant in taking pictures of and critiquing our meals. It will be nice to get more than the one word responses that I got from my DH in regard to his food.

Happy Birthday!

And Teppan Edo is great!
Excited to hear about Le Cellier, I'm going there during my trip in August '11!
