So so so excited!!!

Hi everyone!

I am riding the reservations line high and had to tell someone...I just booked 6 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge (Arusha savanna view) for the boyfriend and me at WDW for New Years Eve!

I haven't been to WDW since moving from Tampa to Philadephia 3 years ago, and my boyfriend hasn't been since he was 9 years old, so this is going to be crazy fun.

We are probably going to spend New Years Eve at Epcot, so I am trying to decide on the best place for dinner. Any thoughts? So far, I am considering Bistro de Paris and Coral Reef.

Also, thoughts on other things I should plan for my bf, who is going to WDW for the first time as an adult? So far, I have:
- La Nouba (Mostly to see the shirtless dude fly around on the red drape things. Hello.)
- Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK

He swears up and down that he will not go to a dinner show, but I am totally going to trick him into going to Hoop de Doo.

Great idea to book this early, everytime I went for new years we never could get a reservation. I love to dine at Marrakesh. We usually ring in the new years at epcot. Be prepared that usually new years week at WDW is Crazy Packed with people. Rides have constant wait times of 180+ minutes and the fast passes sell out before lunch is served. It is well worth it, because disney has more shows, music and entertainment. Because your staying in disney, you will get the magic hours which are so much fun, you should have the best time on rides then. You may want to spend the entire day/night at epcot on new years. They will close the entrances to epcot if it becomes over crowded which usually happens after 3pm. One year in epcot they had a live feed to dick clarks new years eve party on TV. In addition there was a huge dance floor and stage with popular bands setup in the middle of epcot. Also ask ahead where in the park they will be handing out the free party hats and noise makers. Last time we gots ours by the international guest services building in epcot. I wish I could go!!

Thanks for the reply!

I agree, Epcot is THE place for new year's eve.

That will be our first day in the parks, so I am letting him decide where he wants to go first that morning (after breakfast at Boma, which is a must-have for me...I basically stay at AKL for two reasons...giraffes and Boma).

I am going to guess he'll want to go to Magic Kingdom that morning. It's good advice to get to Epcot before 3 PM. If we do start the day at another park, we'll definitely head to Epcot right after lunch.

I love Marrakesh too. We'll definitely eat there one night, but I think I want to go somewhere more romantic on NYE, which is why I am considering Bistro de Paris (the nice place upstairs from Les Chefs de France) and Coral Reef. Oddly, my boyfriend does not consider a belly dancer all up in his face as romantic. Go figure.

I don't think we hijacked Halloween, we just do a better job at it!

That's awesome. We will be getting into Orlando the afternoon of the 30th and I plan to book us for a late dinner at Narcoossee's that night. (Yes, I know it takes like 6 buses, 2 monorails, and a pack mule to get there from AKL, but I don't care. I love that restaurant.)

Maybe we'll be able to stick around and watch the fireworks from the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon after dinner.
