Also I have read they have other flavors at the Gasparilla Grill at the Grand Floridian!~S'Mores, Cherry Berry, German Choc. cake etc!

Yeah, that AK cupcake looks really unique, what was the thing on top made of? Just chocolate and icing?

I have been on the thread for months while getting ready for our trip. Today I searched back in the thread for some links with a list and picture of cupcakes and location. Soooo now I officially am ready for our cupcake safari through WDW. Even my DH was excited when I showed him the butterfinger and Animal Kingdom cupcakes.

All of WDW at our feet and we will be searching for the best cupcake.

I had a S'mores cupcake at WL when I was there in July. Sorry to say, I was not thrilled. The graham cake part was good, and the marshmallow icing was yummy, but I would have preferred a soft chocolate center (ganache maybe) rather than the pieces of candy bar that were hiding inside.

This thread has my mouth watering! I've looked through everything and still have a few questions:

1. If we buy cupcakes somewhere like Starring Rolls, will they give me some type of packaging to get it back to the room? I don't want to take them on the plane, but was thinking of getting a few our first day for us to snack on throughout the week. So do they sell them in some sort of way that they could be easily transported?

2. I know Starring Rolls closes early, but do the other bakeries as well? In particular, I'm worried about Karamell Kuch...I want to get some cupcakes there, but probably won't be able to get there until later in the day. Will they still be open and have cupcakes?

TIA!

Has anyone noticed the super yummy cupcakes that will be sold at Be Our Guest?
I am dying to try that lemon meringue cupcake.

I think they have boxes, or little plastic cupcake containers. You can buy cupcake boxes at a local bakery supply store and pack them away in your suit case too, they aren't expensive and they fold flat.

I wouldn't think they'd be good to transport all day in a bag or anything...they are pretty big and the icing I'm sure would slide around.

The one in Germany was open like all the other shops, I don't think they close early. Starring Rolls sells out of the cupcakes pretty quickly. I wonder if they don't have a kitchen in the back so they only have what was delivered to them?

Does anywhere else sell a lemon meringue cupcake? BOG won't be open yet for our trip, but I think I'd make a pilgrimage to just about anywhere else on property to get one. They sound amazing.
