OMG!!! the strawberry cupcake from the Contemporary looks absolutely AMAZING! It is on my MUST DO list for December IF it is not seasonal!

looks like these are the only 3 on the every day menu at the Contempo Cafe:

Caramel Dos Leches, Black Forest, or Pina Colada $3.99

Black forest would not be my choice and I have seen a couple of pictures of the caramel dos leches and it looks delicious. Does anyone have any pictures inside and out of the pina colada......I love pinapple and coconut so would love to see it or hear about it. Since the other cupcake pictures that I have seen from the Contempo have filling in them, I am hoping that the pina colada has a filling. Anyone know????

Oh yes, they are quite large, and can be split between 2 adults easily! However, I could finish one from Starring Rolls by myself if I really tried to, depending on what I eat beforehand...but I know my tummy wouldn't like me too much if I did that. But yes, they are just THAT good, that I can finish one if I really wanted to (and I am a small person).

I made vanilla cupcakes yesterday with my boys because this thread has had me drooling for quite some time now...satisfied the craving, but still dreaming of those Disney cupcakes!

Middle Daughter has always loved the "worms in dirt" cupcakes at the Contempo Cafe -- the one time I tried a bite (spring 2010), I thought it too dry. I usually go for something non-cupcake-y, but this thread inspired me to try a few the last time we were out. Only at the Contemporary, for some reason -- everywhere else I reverted to my usual practice. But I was well rewarded for giving up my favorites.

Highly recommend the Dulce de Leche and Florida Strawberry Cupcakes at the Contempo. Yum! Both very moist and (by the time we quit futzing around and actually sat down to eat) the perfect temp and texture. Cool but not cold, the frosting and cake on both nice and soft. I think the Dulce de Leche had buttercream frosting and the strawberry... something else. They both had just a bit too much frosting for me but I foisted some off on the kids and everybody was happy.
