We would love some suggestions!!!!

We are headed to AKV in July 2015. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 10 and 8. We have been to WDW many times, usually in the winter months. I am just looking for some suggestions for some meal ideas since it is summer and we don't like to eat as much when we are hot. One of my boys wants to eat at Be our Guest, is lunch or dinner better???? I am thinking lunch.
We have eaten all over the world and have our favorites, but I am always wiling to try something new. I am leaning towards either eating a larger breakfast in parks, afternoons by the pool and then back to parks at night. What are your summer strategy eating plans?????

Thanks!!!!
Tracy

We are staying at AKV next summer, too, and my 10-year old daughter has been begging to do the "dine with an animal specialist" lunch at Sanaa. Staying there will make it a little more convenient, so we have reserved it (we are within our 180 day window already). They only offer it on Wednesdays, as far as I can tell, so that can make it a little tricky to schedule (our trips tend to be long weekends). The DISUnplugged podcast crew did a review of this lunch in the last year or so (could search that page above to try to find it) and seemed to enjoy it.

Great suggestion!!! I also would like to do the adults only safari, but not sure if we can get in.

We usually eat breakfast in the room and then have a late TS lunch (around 2), which normally fills us up for the rest of the day. This also allows us to either tour in the morning and then relax for the night, or eat first and then do our touring later in the day. We usually find with as much food as they serve at one meal, the one big meal we eat is enough that we don't have to eat the rest of the day, plus we can relax at the TS meal in the AC for a nice break during the worst heat of the day.

Saying which Disney destination is better is like asking a Mom which kid she loves the most

Definitely dinner at Boma! We usually like to try new restaurants each trip, but the past two trips in a row we had dinner at Boma. It's a great way for your sons to try some more exotic foods without having to worry about finishing it. If they taste something and don't like it, hey, at least they tried it, and then they can go back to the buffet for something else.

I loved Be Our Guest for lunch. We used a FP+ for this and ate in the ballroom. I got the quiche and the lemon raspberry cream puff. Both were delicious. Afterwards, we explored the other rooms, all of which are lovely.
