Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread December 1-29 2012 Now Open!

When I booked for July (opened on April 30th), I think the window opened around 10am. The time of day varies, so it won't necessarily be open at 6am, it may open at 2 or 3 in the afternoon. When the window opens, you can book for any day in that month, I believe, unless there's a special event going on.

I just saw they have added 7:00 pm as a new time! This is new since this morning.... Could be a good sign!

I've never been so obsessed with a reservation! My DD and I really enjoyed our last desert party in April. I had absolutely no trouble making those reservations and I didn't even have to wait to make them. It was done on my first try as I must have been within the 60 day window-honestly, I didn't even think about it. We were thrilled to find that we had gotten the absolute BEST seats too. Right front and center at the rail!

I love a few posts back where someone said "the deserts will taste so much sweeter for our perseverence"----so true!!

I just noticed the same thing. Previously it was just Anytime, 8pm, or 9pm. Change is good

I've never done the Dessert Party before - which time do I want?? I need to book August 24th. Do we know yet what time the fireworks are that night?

I don't really understand why you can book multiple times... if there are choices of 7, 8 and 9 you would think all the desserts would be long gone by 9! (I have read that they put all the desserts out at the beginning and don't restock.)

Should I be going for 7??

The different times in the reservation system have nothing really to do with us in August - there is only one desert party per night, the timing of which is based on the time of Wishes. If you pick "anytime" the system will give you the correct time for your night.

Speaking of CM's giving different answers, I just got told by one that they probably aren't having the dessert party anymore and that's why it isn't open yet! What is up with these people and their different WRoNG answers?

I hate to tell you, but that is a possibility. For the past few years since it began it's been a 'seasonal' offering that isn't always available all year. I think recently it's been available every month, but I don't want anyone to believe there isn't at least a small possibility that it won't be offered in any given month.

It would be nice though if disney could make some kind of announcement so I could make some alternate plans, like maybe a wishes or illuminations cruise..

Do you happen to know which months over the last couple years haven't had the dessert party? For some reason I thought it had been offered every month over the last few years. I could be wrong, as I haven't tried to book the party every month....I wish!

I can imagine it is possible it won't be offered at times. It would make sense for them to use that space for buffet meals during free dining, since they need as many places to eat as possible then. And free dining begins at the end of August. The day we leave, actually. So perhaps they are still finalizing plans for that.

Or, there is the possibilty that they will be rehabbing the space for whatever reason.

It would not make sense to just suddenly stop offering the dessert party for no reason. They most likely make a huge amount of money on it, and they already have the location, which is the reason it is so popular.

And finally, if it is true that they will stop offering it, it will shock me if it was the dining reservation CM that knew this information correctly first.
