Our family has done Thanksgiving on board the Wonder twice...so it was the 4 night cruise...They did a semi formal dinner on Thanksgiving. They had a special menu which included all the traditional Thanksgiving food, or you could get other foods.

The nice thing about Thanksgiving is the ship was decorated fro Christmas when we got on! Lots of good photo ops!

HTH!

We just did the 4 night for Thanksgiving this year or wait I guess that was now last November. LOL! We got a special holiday keepsake menu and this is what they served on the Wonder:

Inside the menu was:

Apps:
Seasonal fruit
Plymouth Rock Oysters on the half shell
Grilled Vegetable & Beef Prosciutto
Garlic and Herb Sauteed Shrimp

Soups/Salads:
New England Clam Chowder
Pumpkin & Ginger Soup
Caramelized Apple Salad
Jamestown Smoked Duck Salad

Bread:
Corn bread w/ honey butter (delicious)

Main Course:
Honey Glazed Baked Virginia Ham w/ sweet corn cakes, red skin potatoes, theme roasted winter veggies and a mederia sauce.

Govenor Bradford's Oven Roasted Young Tom Turkey w/ cornbread fruit stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes with caramelized pecans, green beans, pan roasted Jus and cranberry jelly.

Maytag Blue Cheese and Asparagus Risotto served with celery, roasted walnuts and shaved parmesean cheese.

Chesepeake Bay Raosted Cod warpped in bacon with corn risotto, leeks and a tarragon brandy sauce.

Steamed Lemon Sole on spinach, zachini and leek with a carrot-orange and cilantro reduction.

Grilled Split Lobster Tail in shell with a onion smashed potatoes, citrus infused baby shrimp butter, and garlic asparagus spears.

Colonial Style Venison Medallions w/ marinated red cabbage, potatoe croquettes and a port wine and juniper reduction.

Ginger Soba noodles w/ eggplant and shiitake mushrooms in a spiced broth.

Desserts:
Pilgrims Pumpkin Cheesecake
Mayflower Apple & Cinnamon Tart
Southern Style Sweet Potatoe Pie
Massachuetts Chocolate Melting Pot
Thanksgiving Thursday Sundae

and of curse no sugar added desserts like chocolate cheesecake, Apple Pie A La Mode and Ice Cream.

It was an amazing meal! If I had the money I would spend EVERY Thanksgiving onboard a Disney ship.

You're DEFINITELY a Texan! We know that that's an expected dessert at Thanksgiving AND Christmas.

Does anyone know if they show the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the big screen by the pool? That's a 'requirement' in our house on Thanksgiving....but I'm willing to give it up for our vacation!!

Previous to any cruises, I really thought cruising for a holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas was a silly idea. Now it sounds wonderful! It would be so neat to see the ship all decorated, and the menu seems nice too. Like I need another reason to want to go on a cruise though...
