Thanks for posting this.

Sort of related - the Access Board of the ADA is open for public comments on design of shared use paths, which includes things like sidewalks, access routes, etc.
http://www.access-board.gov/sup/anprm.htm
The deadline for comments is June 27.

thanks for the update. I know the DOJ language said people could ban Segways and related devices (those not designed for medical use) if they can prove it would be too dangerous. And since the Disney Company has more lawyers than pretty much anyone else in the country, they already had no problem stating this.

So it comes down to this: No Segways in the parks. Hopefully this will end what has been a very divisive debate in the disabled community.

Update: Federal Appeals Court Upholds Ban

Article here details the story about the Aug 31, 2012 ruling:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/news/General_...on_Segways.htm

Basically, the Federal Appeal Court upheld that Disney did not violate the ADA in banning the use of Segways in their parks. In fact, it found that Disney had done a safety assessment that used the safety considerations written in the ADA to determine Segways in the parks would not be safe.

This covers both WDW and Disneyland Park.
