You know you are from PA when....

You know you live in Pennsylvania when.... **bump if you agree**

Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Pennsylvanians

If your local Dairy Queen is closed
from September through May,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you
assistance and they don't even work there,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the
same time, you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation
with someone who dialed a wrong number,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If vacation means going anywhere south of
Harrisburg for the weekend,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you measure distance in hours,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you know several people who have hit a deer
more than once, you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you have switched from heat to A/C in
the same day and back again, you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow
during a raging blizzard without flinching,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you install security lights on your house and garage,
but leave both doors unlocked,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you carry jumpers in your car and
your wife knows how to use them,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you design your kids Halloween costume
to fit over a snowsuit,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -
you're going 80 and everybody is passing you,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If driving is better in the winter because
the potholes are filled with snow,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter,
winter, still winter and road construction,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car,
you may live in Pennsylvania .

If you find 10 degrees a little chilly,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

If you actually understand these jokes, and
forward them to all your Pennsylvania friends and others,
you definitely do live or have lived - in Pennsylvania
.

Especially the driving being better because of the pot holes being filled in.

Yup especially the 4 seasons, just because the calendar says it spring means nothing, it still winter here and we are to get a wintry mix again soon.

Bingo!
Although ours did open up on the first day of Spring this year. They have to compete with Rita's Water Ice, now.

WOW, so true

Now I go through to see who is PA and agrees. It really makes it funny is that you experienced most of them in the last week.

I love it. I agree with it all, but especially the parka and shorts. I did that last week. My DH agrees with 10 degrees being a little chilly. He never wears a coat in the winter.

[B]Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Pennsylvanians

If your local Dairy Queen is closed
from September through May,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

Yes, Dairy Queen is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, same as the pools.

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the
same time, you may live in Pennsylvania.

No, don't go to the laundry, but I have worn shorts and a sweatshirt or short and a jacket.

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation
with someone who dialed a wrong number,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

My mother had a wrong number call and she talked with him for nearly half an hour before he finally figured out he wasn't talking to his wife.

If vacation means going anywhere south of
Harrisburg for the weekend,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

South of Harrisburg would only be a few hours, certainly not far enough to consider it a vacation. Heck, 2 hour travel is only just over twice the difference than a trip to Walmart for me (notice the distance in time thing there for the statement below.)

If you measure distance in hours,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

Where do I live? I live 45 minutes from Walmart (closest grocery shopping.) Walmart to the north, south, east, and west all 45 minutes away and I'm right smack in the middle.

If you know several people who have hit a deer
more than once, you may live in Pennsylvania.

Know several people who have hit a deer? I think I've hit a deer in each of my last 4 cars, one of those cars I hit a deer and 6 months later after fixing it, hit another deer the first day I got the car back on the road. We hit a deer 2 hours (just shy of Walmart remember, hehehe) into our 19 hour drive to Disneyworld last year (again, distance measured in time.)

If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow
during a raging blizzard without flinching,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

75 mph through 2 feet of snow? Why driving so slow if there's not a lot of snow?

If you carry jumpers in your car and
your wife knows how to use them,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

Jumper cables in both cars, but no, my wife does not know how to use them.

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph
you're going 80 and everybody is passing you,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

No one passes me. If I'm doing 80 on a 55 mph road and someone is going to pass me, I'll just do 90. And, yes, this is every day going to work. Don't want that guy doing 85 to get between me and the next slowpoke only doing 65, hehehe.

If driving is better in the winter because
the potholes are filled with snow,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

Most definitely. I comment on our own road every year to my wife, "The snow is melting, that means the potholes will be uncovered."

If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter,
winter, still winter and road construction,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

Ain't that the truth!

If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car,
you may live in Pennsylvania .

I just got the snowblower last year. Prior to that was a real 4WD vehicle, so I only worried about clearing the driveway when it got up to the door windows.

If you find 10 degrees a little chilly,
you may live in Pennsylvania.

It was 13 degrees yesterday morning. Spring has finally arrived!

Good Evening Fellow Pennsylvania Neighbors!!!! Im glad you like the post!

I wanted to see if anyone was interested in a PA Disney Pin Exchange the weekend of the 15th/16th. I was thinking about either meeting in Allentown, PA or King of Prussia, PA.... but I am open to ideas!

What does everyone think??
