Being a track staff photographer has its benefits! The on-track images are cropped to differing degrees, however the pit road images are pretty much the way they came out of the camera with very minor PP.

I just started going through the 2500 images from this weekends three events. From yesterday's ET Bracket races, these are two of my early favorites.

The second one is good, but the first is magnificent! Nice job Harry!! I hope your back gets better soon. I'm dealing with a bum knee and have to get it back in shape for this weekend.

Thanks Mr. Terry! I hope your knee feels better, I look forward to your post. I go to the Doc for my 6 week checkup. I've been pretty sore lately from more walking and squatting. I had the L4-L5 disk removed and now just waiting for the bones to fuse. He said around 1 year for full recovery. I've just been shooting around the house lately.

I thought I was crazy when I spent a lot on the 43 limited. After using it, I find its not really razor sharp at 1.9 but it sure is magical. It has that "3D look". I wonder if I would like the 15 and 70 limiteds? With the limiteds, the K-5 is only a little larger than the Nex 7/6 and lens.

Another Motorsports Glam Shot!

Not really, but maybe the title should be, "So you want to be a sports photographer?

Terry Post-Race 2862 by Terry McGraw Photography, on Flickr

This after shooting day 3 of the NHRA Lucas Oil Series Division 3. Hot, sweaty, speckled with tar and rubber, tired and looking at 3-4 hours of cleaning cameras! And you notice I didn't even mention Post-Processing!!

The only thing making it worthwhile is getting shots like this ..... and the people.

Not a Pro, but Using a Pentax (or 2)

Greetings!

The first couple of posts will probably be tests since I've never posted a picture before. Anyway...

I've been shooting with Pentax cameras since the late 90s (ME Super) and transitioned to a *ist DS2 in 2005. A couple of months ago I bought a K20D. We're going to Disney again in August and this will be my first trip with my Pentax (last 3 trips have been P&S). Hopefully I get some good pictures from our 4-night Dream cruise and the our 3 days in the parks to post later this year. I've got a few lenses from my film days that I'm trying to find, but I did find my Pentax 28mm f/2.8 and I've started testing it for our trip. I've got several lenses for my digital cameras, but nothing fancy. I did get a 18-135 DA lens for the 20D. I've also got Tamron 18-200, and that's the lens the skydiving shots were taken with I'm attaching.

I hopped my TriPacer about 15 miles east of where I'm based to take these pictures. These (if they showed up) were from the K20D and Tamron. Again, nothing fancy, but they were fun to take.

Chad

PS - Using Picasa to host and don't know if that'll work.
