Disney's Buses don't start running til 6:30am.
So, if you don't have a car, plan on taking a taxi.

I just found out. Definetly a good thing to know.........

Hi Everyone: I'm getting ready to send everyone this e-mail, but I'm trying to make sure I post it as far and wide as possible. Here are the final instructions for our breakfast. See you on Sunday!

Greetings Everyone, thank you for supporting Give Kids The World and signing up to attend the “Power of 10 Confronts The Power of the Dark Side” breakfast on Sunday, May 22. I wanted to share some final details regarding our event. We need everyone at the front gate of Disney’s Hollywood Studios (with all the guests you signed up in your party) promptly at 6:15am. Note, resort transportation will not be running at 6am. Therefore, you will either need to walk, drive, or take a taxi to Hollywood Studios.

Once at the front gate, look for a marquee sign labeled “Event Check-In” to direct you to a table. At the table we will have the complete guest list with your name, and all of your paid guests. To enter, you will need an ID, we will check you off the list, and you will receive a wristband for the event. If you have theme park admission, you can swipe your ticket media as you enter. If you do not have a theme park admission, you will receive a second wristband. All guests will be escorted back to the Backlot Express Restaurant together as a group by our Event Guides. It is very important that we get everyone checked in quickly so we can be escorted back to the Backlot Express by 6:30am.

The Breakfast Buffet will be available from 6:30-8:00am. At the same time, the silent auction will be available. The silent auction has to end by 8:00am – so as not to interfere with normal theme park operations. If you are interested in purchasing an item in the auction, you will need to pay for it on site with cash or a check (made out to GKTW). Remember, all proceeds from the auction will go directly to GKTW.

When the park officially opens at 8:00am, those guests with park admission (and a single wristband), who wish to leave, may exit to enjoy the attractions of Hollywood Studios. You will not need to go back to the front of the park to swipe your ticket. For those guests who wish to remain, we have the Backlot Express reserved until 9:30am. From 8:00-9:30am there will be time to mix and mingle. Any guests without theme park admission (and thus wearing two wristbands) will be escorted by our Event Guides to the park exit at 9:30am.

Our special guest, Mr. Anthony Daniels (the actor who has portrayed C-3PO in every Star Wars film), has agreed to drop-by our breakfast at approximately 9:00am for a brief appearance. This will be an informal stop to say hello. Due to time constraints, no autographs can be signed by Mr. Daniels at this time. Mr. Daniels appearance is entirely dependent upon his schedule, is not guaranteed, and could be subject to change or cancelled.

Thank you again for your support of the Power of 10: Give Kids The World $1 Million Dollar Challenge, and we look forward to you seeing you bright and early Sunday morning.

I am staying at the Wyndham across the street from DD. I have room for 3 more in my car but unless you want to leave around 10.30 in the morning, I wouldn't count on me for a ride back.

I think the park itself is going to be open at 6am. Rides won't be open, but the gates very well might be.

Does anyone think we'd encounter issues walking over to the Studios at that hour from the Dolphin? We did it years ago, before it was officially a path and had no problems. I've looked at google maps satellite view and it seems fine, but I think there might be an iron gate at the bridge under the highway.

If there is, I think we can just scramble up the embankment and play in traffic to cross the road. ;-)

Any hints, caveats, well wishes? May the force be with you, too!
