Photopass and Chef Mickey's

On the evening of our first day we are dining at Chef Mickey's (pending me getting the correct ADR in 13 days :D ).

Anyhow, I already prebought my Photopass, are their PP photographers at CM's and if so do they have the cards to be scanned?

We are not going to the parks on our first day so I will not have the chance to get a card that day unless I can get one outside of the parks.

If there is no PPphotographer at CM's then I guess the point is moot anyway :D

So I guess my 2 questions are there PPPhotographers at CM and is there a location outside the parks to get a photopass card?

There are no photopass photographers at CM. They will take your picture right when you check in and then bring the photos to your table for you to purchase if you wish. You will receive your first PP card when you have your first PP picture taken at one of the parks.

The last time we visited was last August and at that time I was not aware of being able to add Ohana pics or any others from meals to your PP. The CM photos were a package that they brought to your table for purchase and could not be added to PP. Don't know if anything has changed since last summer but at least when we went this was not an option.

If you buy the pic it has code on like the one at Ohanas so that you can add it to your photopass.

Thanks for updating the info. I had. So you still have to pay separately for it though?

Here is a link to some good info with a list of the restaurants. You have to initially buy the photos to be able to add them. They won't give you the number otherwise is how I understand it.

That's a very informative site. Looks like you have to buy the package for around $35 to be able to add it to your PP. Since we pay so much for the PP already, we never bother with the packages at the restaurants but it's good to know about the option. Now if they would just add more ride photos to PP!!

Awesome thanks!!! We like to add them so we can have more to give to relatives They become our family pic for the year..... just different relatives get different restaurants LOL

the whole adding it to the PP is actually pretty neat, you just take it to a PP kiosk and scan the barcode and bam, there they are!!

We didn't add the photos from Chef Mickey's (we didn't buy them, the ones they took with our own camera came out better) but we DID add the pictures from Akershus and Tusker House to our PP with no problems.

You can also have pictures taken with your camera at the Chef Mickey's plate. During one of our recent stays at the Contemporary we went down there when they were closed and took our own pictures, because we didn't plan to eat there during our stay.

The photopass code is printed in small font on the upper left edge of the pictures you receive from the character meals. You have to take the picture out of the paper frame it comes in to read the code. I was able to add our CRT pictures to PP by doing so. Akershus also gave me a printed receipt with the PP code on it. The price for the Chef Mickey's photo was just not worth it for us.

That's great to know, I always have my personal camera so that's perfect!
