Memorial Day Crowds?
Hello everyone!
We normally travel to WDW for Labor Day in September when most everyone is back in school and the crowds are nice and low. However, with our daughter getting older, and with our Labor Day trip interfering with her school schedule, we have opted for the week of Memorial Day for the first time. Can anyone give me a rough idea of crowd levels? It will be Saturday May 28-Saturday June 4. Any rides that are more crowded than others? Parks that are more crowded on certain days of this week than others? Any help or information you can provide would be much appreciated- traveling with 2 kiddos (one will be 18 months), I like to know this kind of stuff in advance! Thanks again! |

So glad you posted this! We will be at Caribbean Beach from May 30-June 5. DH and I have two girls, one who is 3 and one that will be turning 7 on June 4th. I was concerned about going for Memorial Day but couldn't go earlier because of school.

We went for Memorial Day weekend last year and I thought the crowds were not bad - relatively speaking. Much better than spring break in March! I was a bit worried, but I don't remember the crowds being oppressive at all.

I think they have 'free' dining at that time.
That can make it a headache if so.I have been there a number of years at that time, and sticking to the low crowd park/s each day/night will be a big help.

I'm interested as well. We have no current plans for Memorial Day but in the future, I am SURE we will be going on Memorial Day because my little girl's birthday is the end of May and I don't think we'll escape her childhood without a birthday trip! Especially sicne her little brother has already celebrated HIS birthday at WDW and he's only 3! I'm used to going in Septemeber so it scares me but I'm thinking that we will be doing it eventually!

It wasn't bad last year at all. Of course, I go to the least crowded parks according to TGM and it works great.
