Just back from Aulani: VIDEO

Hi there,

This is my first post here...we are DVC members, have listened to the podcast for a couple years or so, and been lurking around the boards for a while. Since we just returned from Aulani I thought it's about time we got on the boards.

First, let me say it was incredible. They've really hit a home run, with a couple of things they can improve upon, mostly food choices.

I am a freelance cameraman and own a video production company, so of course I shot lots of video of HD Aulani (and stills as well- coming soon) with my professional camera, and some with my DSLR that shoots video, as well as a waterproof HD GoPro camera that I took in the lazy river, and on some other off-site excursions including Diamond Head.

I've created a video, in a travel channel style (and I really do mean that), but can't post a hot link to it yet since I'm a new member (need 10 posts first) but here is the link to cut and paste to your browser.

www.vimeo.com/29434941

ENJOY!

VC

We are already figuring out how to get back there. Going to Florida, or even California, from the northest it's not too expensive for flights. But flights to Hawaii are a lot more. That's really the biggest factor in getting us back there....but we plan on it. It's amazing.

Thanks. I actually strapped a mini HD camera to my body for the climb all the way up Diamond Head, then shot additional footage with another camera at the top. I considered bringing a larger HD video camera and even a compact tripod and wearing a backpack, and then scrapped that idea the night before after reading various accounts of the climb. Glad I did.

Wow- looks amazing! It's so expensive though, for us to go to Hawaii, so we could only go if we were part of the DVC. I can't wait to get there someday!

Absolutely gorgeous!

What a beautiful resort. Love all the water activities. Thank you for including the Pearl Harbor and Diamondhead footage. Did the resort help you book those outings?
