Question My 11A cabin 8143 Disney Dream, anyone?

So I've been looking at the deck plans, and it looks like this room is opposite the laundry?

Has anyone been in this room yet, noisy etc??

I'd love to hear from anyone with feedback on this room, as I haven't been able to find anything online as yet!!

In 2 days I leave for a 3 night Dream cruise and we are in cabin 8141. I know it's not the same, since your cabin actually backs up to the laundry, but I plan to do a Stateroom review, so keep an eye out for it.

How did you know that your room backed up to the laundry? I just figured it out the other day when I saw a picture of a Laundry Directory in someone's trip report.

I'll look forward to your report!!

I found out because I kept searching room 8143 and it kept coming up with laundry, so I at first thought we were going to be sleeping in the laundry room!! LOL! Then I figured out that it was next to it.

You can see the gray area on the deck plans, so that answered my question, then I worried that I'd be hearing laundry going while I was sleeping!!

Yes, we back up to a grey area too. I'm kind of worried about what's in there.

I'll be sure to post once I get back.

I'm back! Sorry it took so long! I wrote a room report on 8141. You can find it here:

The laundry was extremely quiet. Even walking by there was no noise. I don't think you'll have any problem at all.

Have fun!

My sister stayed in this room recently. I will ask her. I know the laundry room was really busy whenever we walked by but I did not notice any noise. Also the machines appeared to be on the opposing wall.

Thanks so much for reporting! I'm glad it's quiet, but a little concerned about the smoking! Especially since the room your neighbours were in, is going to be our room! I hope it's thoroughly cleaned and we don't have the same problem in March!

Glad to hear it was a great trip depite the bad neighbours!

No, you're OK. I was across the hall (in 8141) from your room.

I was really disappointed with how DCL did not handle the issue. My DD and I woke up to sore throats every morning from breathing that nonsense. She has asthma too.

I just hope they charged the people $250. Though, really, what kind of a deterrent is that? For a heavy smoker on a long cruise, it is probably well worth paying a one time $250 charge.

No smoke smell for our trip. I asked mys sister about how noisy the room was. she said

"Not at all, didn't hear a thing; it was quiet, just small--no drawers for storage"
