I wondered the same thing. Although we just want to swim in the resort pool. Aren't they heated?
When are ya'll going in March? Early or late in the month. That might make a difference too. We're going the week of Mar 20th.

Resort pools are heated. My kids just swam almost everyday last week.

We are going from March 12-18. So I hope it is warm enough. We live in Texas and I don't get in the water until it's at least 95 outside, but no heated pools here.

We stayed at P.O. Riverside the first week of March in 2009 and the kids swam every day!

We've vacationed in the Sarasota area every March since 1981, and we often spend a night or two at WDW during that time. So we have a good idea of the "usual".

The second half of March always is more moderate than the first 15 days as Florida's version of spring arrives.

Disney's heated pools will be fine. A day at the beach on the Atlantic coast probably would be breezy (windy) and warm enough on a sunshine day. The ocean will feel cold.

If you travel to the Gulf Coast, the water will be warmer - not warm, but warmer than the Atlantic.

Did you mean swimming at a resort beach - or taking a side trip to the coast?
