Help with US Air reservations/honeymoon registry! - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hey y'all!

So I've determined that I'm kind of in a *situation* here. I booked our Disney honeymoon through US Airways because it seemed like the best deal. I just called US Air to upgrade our resort to the Boardwalk Inn. When I originally booked, we had free Disney Dining. When I upgraded, we got a great deal on the resort, but it nixed our DDP.

I called Disney to see if I could add it using our Honeymoon Registry gift card. The lady said she could not do anything since I had booked through US Air. Basically, I will be unable to apply the balance of my Disney gift card to my hotel, DDP, etc. because it will all have to go through US Air.

We were really planning on using our Honeymoon Registry as our major source of gifts, since we have been living on our own since college graduation a few years ago and don't need a lot of *stuff*. However, if I can't use it to pay our major Disney expenses, it's kind of pointless.

So my question is - does anyone know of a way to fix this hiccup and be able to apply my honeymoon gift card to my US Air reservations? Or should I just roll with it, not purchase a DDP and use any money we get for expenses while we're there?

I'm so disappointed about this! Help please!

So I just cancelled US Air and called Disney to rebook. They gave me a great price and I am so happy. Disappointment gone, magic reinstated. Yay!
