Vendor Reviews Round 1
Okkkkk so here is the first part of my vendor reviews! I will score things out of 10 to make it nice and easy.
Rehearsal Dinner at the Gaylord Palms ~ 6: There was a lot of problems early on with our rehearsal dinner at Disney, so my in-laws made the decision to hold it at Gaylord Palms. Originally it was supposed to be at Ohana, but management had said that they would not be able to seat us all at the same time, so my in-laws got pissed and moved it. I was really upset about this early on, but eventually got over it. I was really looking forward to Gaylord Palms, but it was kind of disappointing. We were not seating in a private room, as my in-laws assured us that we would be (although I'm sure that's their fault and not the Palms). The problem was we were seated near the atrium, and there was some sort of Christmas concert going on, and the noise was deafening. You couldn't even have a conversation with the person next to you. The food was just so-so, and although our reservation was for 7:45, we were not seated until 8:10. Beaute Speciale for Hair & Makeup ~ 10: These girls were incredible. We had four of them come to do hair and makeup, and they were all amazing. I am sooooo glad we decided to go with them. When I woke up the day of my wedding, I had a severe outbreak of thrush. My cheeks and lips were incredibly swollen.... I looked horrible! They did an amazing job of covering everything up and making me look pretty. My bridesmaids and my mom all looked phenomenal! The girls showed up early, were finished early, and were a ton of fun to hang out with the morning of the wedding. I cannot recommend them enough!!! The Collection Bridal of Winter Park for Gown & Alterations ~ 8: This shop is beautiful, and their dresses are gorgeous. Everyone was very friendly, but could be a little "much" at times... they really kiss your @ss, so if you're a fan of that then you will love it there. The actual sale of my dress and veil was pretty straightforward, but definitely had some issues with alterations. I had to have SIX fittings. That is not normal! I'm not sure why my dress was such a challenge for the alterations department, but everything did fit like a glove by wedding day. Declaration Boutique & Events of St. Augustine for Invitations, Programs, Escort Cards, Table Numbers, & Accessories ~ 10: Lara Kocerka was a dream to work with. She can create anything and everything you want, and she does it with a smile on her pretty little face. Loved her, loved her boutique, and loved everything she created for us! Cayden Lane Photography of Jacksonville & Pure Photography & Design of Salt Lake City ~ 10: From what I have seen so far, our pictures look amazing! Lori of CLP and Rachel and Crystal of PPD were all so wonderful, and a pleasure to work with. Lori shot our engagement pictures and my boudoir pictures, and she is soooo much fun. If you are looking for an outside photographer, hire her! You will not regret it!!!

Ugh, I am sorry that Gaylord Palms wasn't spectacular--- I remember the drama well!! I'm so glad though that, overall, everyone was great for you (and I love all of these positive reviews of Beaute Speciale!

Vendor Reviews Round 2
Sorry it has taken me so long to post for anyone who might still be following. I have been sooo sick for the past two months, so just trying to get all of that figured out. Anyhoo, on to more vendor reviews!!!
South City Band ~ 8: I love, love, loved our band. We did not book them through Disney, but opted to pay the fee to bring in an outside band. It was definitely worth it. There were a couple issues with the sound system, and also the timing of events. Whenever the lead singer spoke, it was very muffled, but when she sang it was perfect, so not sure what was going on. The timing of events was kind of a pain in the @ss, because I think there was some miscommunication between the band and my planner. I don't think any of the guests noticed, but Tim and I did. The band took an exceptionally long break during the main course, to the point where someone had to go out and tell them to return. And then they were not sure what time the reception ended, so while our planner was saying it was time to wrap things up they were still going strong. We ended up having to add additional time to our charter in order to get everyone to the after party. But aside from timing details, they were soooooo good. I highly recommend them, just maybe make sure ahead of time that they for sure know what's going on! The Grand Floridian ~ 10: We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. Yes, the scrim at the wedding pavilion was heinous. Truly heinous. But the exceptional service we received more than made up for that. We were treated as VIP guests for our entire stay, and I could not have been more pleased. The Grand Floridian Bakery ~ 10: Our wedding cake was phenomenal! I was shocked when I saw it. It looked better than the inspiration picture we had provided. I only tried it when we did the cake cutting (never made it back to my seat for dessert), but it was delicious and PERFECT!

Catherine,
Sorry that you have been so sick since your wedding. That stinks. I can totally relate, since I have been sick off and on (mostly on) since October. Cold, on to of cold, with some bronchitis and sinus infection thrown in. Hope you feel better soon! Sorry the Gaylord Palms wasn't up to snuff. I remember how mad you were about this decision, so it must make you feel even worse. At least you know (and could tell anyone who asks), that you didn't pick it. ![]() Hope to see more of your TR when you are feeling better.

I am a horrible DISbride
I am a horrible, horrible DISbride. I have gotten so into the dang Facebook group that it never dawned on me to come back and update my PJ. For anyone following it, I am soooo sorry. Epic fail on my part.
In other news, we are expecting a little Disney Princess! She should be arriving a week or two before our first anniversary. So while our dreams of celebrating our first anniversary at Disney will no longer be possible, we can't wait to bring our sweet baby girl there to make some new memories as a family! And of course we managed to get a Disney "babymoon" out of this. ![]()
