Exploring The Seas and DHS

The entire Dive Quest process took about 3 1/2 hrs, so Alex and I had time to explore after the boys were done diving. She had fun posing and playing the games around Bruce:

After Dive Quest was done, the boys came out with a DVD and a nice backpack type bag. It was so worth it and they loved it! We will go again for sure, and Alex will be certified next time!

We headed for World Showcase after Dive Quest just as Illuminations was starting. Perfect timing! My battery died in my camera, so no pics. We had an ok spot by the Canada Pavilion and watched the show! Love the show and had a great time.

We were off to the Poly, hit the Monorail and then a long walk from the TTC back to the room. Why does the walk seem so much longer, at night when you are tired!

July 18th- DHS AM Toy Story Mania here we come

We hit the bus for rope drop, as we knew that we needed to be there 1st thing to get a FP for TSM.

Alex not liking the Mom kiss!

Cute pic on our way to Toy Story:

We got our FP, following the mob of people! Thank goodness there was a dedicated FP machine for tour groups only. This made things much easier for all of the families out there!

We decided to ride TSM after of FP were obtained

Awesome ride!!! I forgot to take a pic of our score, but Rod won easily!

Up next: Back lot tour

More DHS

After TSM, we wanted to try The Backlot Tour. We have never been on to this attraction before, so why not try it. We did not care much for the pre-show. I really enjoyed the tram and the prop-shop.

It's about lunch time and our reservations for Sci-Fi. We love Sci-Fi, our favorite place to eat at WDW! Love the theme, rollerskates, B-movies and eating in a car!

After lunch we were done with DHS, very crowded and so hot!
Here are some cute pics of the bus back to the Poly, very empty bus!

Rod sleeping!

Up next, back to EPCOT!

EPCOT-World Showcase

As we did not really get to explore WS after Divequest the night before, we decided to head back to EPCOT and explore.

I love WS, shopping, food and so many countries!

First stop Canada:

England: Making my family get a pic with Alice!

Japan: Alex and I did the pick a pearl in Japan. We both got identical pearls. Alex set her in a necklace and I set mine in a cage to wear on a necklace that I already had. I can't find any of my pics of this!!!

The World:

Across the lake:

American Pavilion: We did not see the show, the line was huge!

Turkey Legs! Anthony has been wanting a turkey leg since we got to WDW! Finally found one, he looks less than impressed that I want a pic of it:

Italy:

Next up: Rod's favorite Germany!

More EPCOT-WS

On to Germany, Rod's favorite pavilion!

Crazy Hats in Germany:

China Pavilion:
One of our favorites. Rod, Anthony and I just found a bench to relax. Alex found these adorable marionettes(sp?)

Next up:

More WS- EPCOT

Here go, headed to Norway. We did not go on Malestrom last time, as the lines were huge. This year we were bound to go.

Mexico:

We ate at San Angel Inn last time we were here. The WORST food and service we have ever had, in or out of WDW. I didn't want to eat there again, but we really enjoyed exploring inside the Temple
My favorite pic!

Well, we are at the end of WS. Rod is not feeling the crowds and does not want to stay for Illuminations. He has at the end of his rope. We hightail it out of there before Illuminations starts. A couple of night pics on the way out:

Coming up next: our last day at WDW

Our last day at WDW!

Well, for our last day at WDW the kids decide to go to Typhoon Lagoon. We went to both waterparks last time and like TL the best. We spent the AM and early afternoon playing in the giant wave pool! I only took one pic?? Where did the rest go???
Here is the lonely TL pic:

After TL, Rod decides to stay at the Poly. He is at his limit, end of his rope and wants to chill at the pool. The kids and I decide to spend the last night at WDW at AK. We love AK at night!

1st up, Dinosaur. Anthony's not so favorite. He is a trooper and will ride it with Alex and I. If you look closely at the ride pic, he has his head down!

Next Dinoland and the dreaded Primevil Whirl! I really do not like this ride, but Anthony told me that if he can ride Dinosaur, I can ride Primevil Whirl. So, I ride the darn thing!

It's getting dark, so we head over to EE.
One of my favorite pics!

We had to take a pic of our favorite little stand. They have the BEST frozen drinks here. The strawberrie smoothies were my kids favorite and I love the Chia Tea!

Up next, EE at night!

I am loving your report! Sorry to hear that your DD was sick, but I am very happy to hear how helpful the CM's at the Poly were.

AK at night- last night at WDW

We are making our way over to EE. We love to ride this at night, just is somehow more fun!

Anthony is obsessed with prayer flags! He wants some in his college dorm room, when he goes.

EE que line at night:

The ride:

Alex on the ride:

Anthony, scolding me to put the camera away!

I tried to take some pics while on EE, none of them turned out very good:

This is it---the last pic of the night at AK!

Up next: many, many pics of the Poly at night

Thank you!! I am go glad you like it. I am nervous about my first TR, so you have made my day!

We were lucky it was just a 12hr bug. She only missed a day at WDW, it could have been much worse! The CM's, management and mousekeepers were wonderful. Went above and beyond to make her stay more magical. Our family travels quite a bit and can not ever say that we have had better customer service than this trip!

Poly pics

After the kids and I spent our last night at AK, I decided to take my camera and take a bunch of Poly pics at night. I hadn't really spent much time taking pics before, so I kind of went a little nuts!

Our longhouse, Niue:

Items around our Longhouse:

View of the only two floor longhouse, Niue:

Great map:

Quiet Pool, which we like almost more than the volcano pool. The volcano pool was awesomely themed, great slide and awesome to watch Wishes from. It was always crowded, no place to sit and very loud. The quite pool was deep at the end, quite, always a place to sit and the kids enjoyed it more.

Another longhouse pic:

Our longhouse is steps from the GCG:

Inside the GCH:

Coming up next: more Poly pics, second floor

More Poly pics

Here are some more pics of the Poly second floor:
A caricture artist would draw awesome pics. Alex got her pic taken, but I only took picture of it with my phone, so none to share

Seating area:

Monorail at night, just waiting for me

Nighttime flowers by monorail:

Pics headed from the monorail back into the Poly:

Back outside headed towards Captian Cooks:

Around the pool:

That's from the Smiths at WDW and the Poly. I will end this with my favorite pic and no it's not from WDW. We spent the end of our trip at Universal Studios to see Harry Potter(huge fans). This pic is from our last night at Portofino Bay.

Not sure if I should continue the TR from Universal?
thoughts?

Thank you all for taking a picture trip with my family and I, hope you liked it

I enjoyed your report and pictures! Glad your daughter felt better after a day--nothing says "vacation" in out family like a trip to the emergency room, it seems.

What an awesome trip report, I LOVE the pictures!! Glad your dd's illness was very short lived and the CMs were incredible! That is what makes Disney so magical. We love EE at night too (or any time, really but at night is really cool).
I think you should definitely continue your trip report with your time at Universal.
